logically, now would be the best time for the russians to push even though its winter. spring, from what i understand, is a mudfest nightmare in the ukrainian fields. plus its been a while since the ukrainians have gotten some military packages their way. the US is still gridlocked on approving ukraine assistance due to the democrats not giving the republicans their border measures, and the EU package is blocked by hungary that is demanding some outrageous amount for their approval.

There's no rush for them. Russia doesn't need big arrow movements, they can just force the Ukrainians to retreat through open country and cut them apart as they destroy their positions and continually force them onto worse territory.
We think of big sweeping movements like the tank battles of WWII but that isn't something we're going to see in this war(again) until the Ukrainians don't have any capacity left.
The fog of war is gone with the prevalence of UAVs / drones, so Ukraine is now just a killing field where the Russians are grinding away the ability of the Ukrainians to resist.
It's really just a question about whether Zelensky will fight to the last Ukrainian in their current positions or withdraw to new positions further west to be able to defend better and try to force a settlement.Florida Crew as of 3/21

Russia does not need to beat Ukraine quickly. The slower they go the more advantageous it is for them.
They can make deliberate slow movements while grinding down the Ukrainians. I suspect the Russians don't want this war to end... The continuing of those conflict offers them a lot of benefits... Whereas winning the war it's beneficial to their adversaries.
Right now America and others are being burnt out supporting Ukraine, winning the war helps them.

The majority of the western world is going broke trying to keep Ukraine on life support. America spent 175 billion, Germany is in recession with the rest of the Europe not looking to good.
Meanwhile Russia is enjoying a growing economy with tons of protentional members still wanting to join BRICS.
Russia can keep up with this almost indefinitely. They have the economy and production facilities to keep a war going.
Russia can produce:
1500 tanks per year
100-150 cruise missles per month
1 to 1.5 million artillary shells per year. They also have around 4 million soviet artillary rounds sitting in storage which is unknown if being used or not
All of Nato cannot keep up with a single country. It would take Nato ten+ years to catch up to Russia's military production.
As the other guy was saying. Russia wins the long game on this. They haven no reason to press forward and loose men. Let Ukraine keep throwing men at a wall of death until there's none left all while losing critical infrastructure from cruise missile strikes. The west doesn't even report on Ukraine power outages anymore. It's over for them.Mod neg Cry-Baby Crew

You recognize that this represents Ukraine putting forth their best efforts into a massive counter-offensive the result of which was Russia gaining territory for the year, correct? Russia attacked Ukrainian strong points (Bakhmut, Marinka, Avdiivka) while Ukraine attacked fields and Russia still came out ahead.
Hint: It's not gotten any better since January 1st, either.Florida Crew as of 3/21

Holy FCK, vatniks BTFO!!!
Of the 360,000 troops that entered Ukraine, including contract and conscript personnel, Russia has lost 315,000 on the battlefield, according to the assessment. 2,200 of 3,500 tanks have been lost, according to the assessment. 4,400 of 13,600 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers have also been destroyed, a 32 percent loss rate.
“As of late November, Russia lost over a quarter of its pre-invasion stockpiles of ground forces equipment,” the assessment reads. “This has reduced the complexity and scale of Russian offensive operations, which have failed to make major gains in Ukraine since early 2022.”

Amusing side note is that russian coal prices are dropping despite the cold.
But its no joke. Colonized people in russia are protesting, and russian thought police is sent to beat them up. We should arm them so they can defend themselves from evil

It's great when the Little Phaggy and Vatnig Boys Cope Choir of The Basement gets screeching over a dozen posts in a day. Reeks of desperation.
Also...LOL at how quickly the butt buddies moved on from the plane being shot down when they couldn't come up with any proof to yet another topic they'll have no proof on. Just floating from cope topic to cope topic on a stream of dead women, gimps, and midget blood.

source? makes sense though, its tough to push in the winter but its almost impossible in the spring time mud season. also as i mentioned before its been a good while since ukraine has been supplied and the americans and the EU are both politically gridlocked on approving new packages. i think orban in hungary has demanded like 50 billion dollars from the EU to approve the ukraine military aid package lmao. cheeky phgt.
the ukrainians have had a bit of time to shore up defensive lines so im interested to see what the russians do differently, if anything, to push past that. if its the same type of artillery slug match these two have been getting into then i dont see them making any sweeping advances. we shall see.

America can only produce 8k rounds of artillary per month.
America sells a lot of hardware but that's over a number of years. That doesn't mean it can produce it quickly.
Another example are tanks. America can only produce 1000 tanks per year.
You can google all this stuff. Stop being stupid bruhMod neg Cry-Baby Crew
