Sony is starting to make me antsy. They have no FPS or TPS games coming?

Factions was all I ever needed, now it's cancelled. I want something tactical with teamwork with a bit of grit and grime. Don't like COD, Battlefield, and I hated Destiny.



No Resistance, No Killzone, No Socom. We have nothing. I've been a PlayStation fan for about the past 15 years, supported the 3, 4, and 5 but I can see why Sony fans are called dweebs. We get nothing but single player games. I've enjoyed all of them, but still, I need something different.

Even back in the PS2/OG Xbox era, it is known that PS are for single player games while Xbox are for FPS/shooters. Of course, things are a bit grey now, but still holds true.

Still believe one or more of their studios are cooking some FPS. I just hope not Killzone, that game is boring af story wise.

Yeah and I hate all those multiplat shooters. COD sucks, Battlefield Dead, Rainbow 6 a huge joke, and the rest are Battle Royal games.

Factions is a mixture of aggressive tactical stealth and a team work. The closest thing to Socom we had tbh.


It's not beginner friendly at all, especially now since it's 10 years old. Lobbies still fill up very fast at all times of the day. Crazy how it's still going strong.

The big problem with it now, is yes, the game is still very serviceable 10 years later but literally impossible for newcomers, especially the party lobbies which is where most newcomers will play, playing with friends. My crew got our buddy to try it, dude is an absolute beast at shooters, probably best in our crew, has won COD tournaments, played 5-10 matches, he didn't get a single kill and said he couldn't keep trying and I don't blame him. The learning curve is so steep and the guys running those party lobbies still 10 years later just don't give a newb a chance to even learn the game.

It's definitely a game of ruthless aggression. I'd almost consider it old school multiplayer, a bunch of veterans that curb stomp noobs. No matchmaking of any type, just git gud.

You seem like the smart type, you'd play well tbh, just gotta have teammates that will teach you and show you the ways. Plenty of miscers still play i think.

We tried to get him to play no party lobbies to get the hang of it but he was so discouraged. I mean I get it, I can't imagine trying to learn that game at this point.

Funny thing is, I've been seeing a lot of new players. Not sure about team lobbies, but in solo I've been seeing them. I know they're new players because they constantly run and go 3-12.
