New BMWs look great. For 85k I'd get me something like a Lexus LS or Mercedes E/S Class.

But you should not spend that much on a car for your wife, get her top safety and reliability but not luxury.

Have had a 15 and a 20 X5. Love them. Every person who drives it, loves it.
The cayenne doesn't really compare, performance its fun sure... but for usability? Nah.
The GL series is very comparable and I am a big fan of those too.

Never drove a BMW or rt/hellcat Durango, but the Durango actually comes with a sport suspension. It won't outdo the smaller BMW, but I imagine it's not terrible.Originally Posted by KilaByte
