Yeah, like I've said before. Despite all the "woke" chit and whatnot, now would probably be a great time to join the military for the zoomers (assuming you have room temperature IQ to be able to do well on the ASVAB), because if things are this abysmal then it's probably easy to find openings for the legit MOS/Rates that will get you legit skills/training/experience that will really set you up for the civilian job market. Like CTN in the Navy or 17c in the army, for example.

In all fairness though recruiters have possibly the worst job in all the military. Dead serious, would not wish that shiit on anybody.

I remember in the Navy that the two ways that were supposed to help "fast track" to Chief (big whoop, but a lot of enlisted sure took making khaki/entering the chief's mess/"goat locker" super serious and like it was a crowning achievement) were to either be an RDC (and their hours are absolute chit during all of Bootcamp and it would suck immensly) or...to be a recruiter.

My partner was in the Marines for 12 years, he was Admin, he already knows that he wasn't a "real" Marine, but he made sure you got paid.

Anyway, he said with recruiters, it would be ridiculous ****, like find me an Asian recruit in Wyoming???

I've heard of vile shiit like letters of reprimand in their files that can be career killers. Which when you think about it is severely fuked up.. Think about it, they have to "sell" the military to teenagers who may or may not want to join at all.. one kid could mean their quota for the month - and then the little **** changes his mind or doesn't pass the physical. And the recruiter gets punished.

I've known two guys who had done recruiting duty and it left such a bad taste in their mouth that neither one would wear the recruiter badge on their uniform.

I personally always thought they should turn recruiting over to civilians instead.
