I kinda disagree though. I agree that the extreme aspects like violence don't necessarily reflect political parties. But I'd argue that critical theory is a mainstream aspect of the left. And Marxism is inherently extreme. Critical theory is believing that there are oppressors and oppressed. Critical race theory is white is oppressing minorities simply by existing. Critical theory isnt new. It's the precursor to every communist revolution. The left quite literally considers themselves to be revolutionaries. Marxism is a murderous ideology. Modern day left isn't the 90s democrats.
