Haha
All this infighting
This is why the TELE is king. As an all around G
No one can chit talk it
If you are looking for that HEAVY CRUNCH it might not be your cup of tea but as an all aroubd guitar. Country, blues, rock. It just can't be best.
Not to mention the effects you can pull off on it."it takes a wise man to know when he is in error and a noble man to admit to it"

yeah dude Teles are a swissarmy knife. the fixed bridge aspect makes them real versatile too.
they are a longer scale length so yeah you're right, for sludgey/crunchy stuff - I'd got for a Les Paul.
anything else - tele or strat baby.
i got handed this in a guitar store recently and it honestly blew me away how easy it was to play :
Fender Ultra Luxe Tele
he handed it me saying "this is a real vibe man", not knowing what to expect and not particularly loving that term. but yeah, he was rightOverthinking, overanalysing separates the body from the mind

I have a gold one with a offwhite pickguard and rosewood fretboard that looks really beautiful but I don't play it. It looks way better online. looks kinda overthetop/gay in real life.
I have another strat with a stained gray swamp-ash body off-white pickguard (you can see all the grain through the stain though) and rosewood fretboard but I don't play that either....maybe its my favorite to look at.
I have a glossy black strat with off-white/greenish pickguard and maple fretboard as well. I play this one. its my cheapest guitar but feels the best (maybe cuz i play it more).
