These tools use them on "non motorized" trails in hunting areas. I get there early, walk in further, only to be greeted by headlights and humming sounds of some loser illegally motoring to his spot that he couldn't access by foot because its too far and he is too slow/out of shape to make it by day light. "Its a bike bro" as you glide by 15mph without pedaling.

The whole trend caters to people with DUI's and fatties who cant handle a light workout. Both people can go to the meat grinder for all I care.

I really don't see a problem. that said I don't ride bike trails or paths. Its like whaddoo I care what someone else is riding esp if it has 2 wheels.

I'd be more concerned about the speed. I hate when bicyclists or anyone whizzes by me like at 20mph right next to me.

I've legit never seent an ebikecel on the bike lane in my area. But again I woodent have a problem with them going the speed of light if there's no traffic.

I'm all for more people riding bikes more though, ebike or not.

and what I'm experiencing the last 3-4 years has been pissing me off beyond belief

an infestation of ebikers crawling out of every sewer imaginable riding double the speed of a regular bike with no respect towards anyone

what makes it even worse:

-> government regards those contraptions as bikes so they're allowed to go on bike-only paths (which are plenty in Belgium, I hardly need to use lanes where cars ride)

-> on these same paths motorcycles that do the same speed are forbidden lmfao

-> there is a speed limit taken into account but THERE IS ZERO control so why would they expect the e-phâggots to respect it, is anyone that naive?

-> companies have been pushing these whore-bikes through lease plans so they're basically cheap as fuk for employees

-> I fukking hate them

If alot of people drive bikes where youre at, your government should have looked into speed enforcement on the bike lanes. If they are caught going too fast for the conditions, have the bike taken away.

I wouldn't blame the bikers, blame the gov for not regulating and enforcing something that is obviously important.

I'm cool with e-bikes. It's better than them riding on the sidewalk, which is dangerous as fuk.

I do, government has made a huge mistake here since it's now almost impossible to turn it back since they pushed those things with the lease plans as well

the idea was more people switching car for ebike but the only thing that happened is people switched regular bikes for that chit

there are multiple bike companies that completely stopped making regular bikes and only produce ebikes anymore

regular bike market will only be racebikes and mountainbikes in a couple of years

there is also a rise in (fatal) accidents now that they opened Pandoras box with these shenanigans

it's absolutely pissening how nobody in charge had enough braincells to see this coming, it was plain obvious what was gonna happen

They should only be allowed by pedaling not using the motor. Why does anyone need to use the motor on a flat path like that anyway? I could see for a huge hill, but not a flat surface.

What I saw was an e-MOTORCYCLE. Those things are not even allowed on mountain bike trails. If that thing was seen on the trails, he'd have gotten a beat down. srs.
