another skinny guy in need of help- pics
whats up everyone
im pretty new to the site, been here a few times but this is my first time posting. i am 22 yr old, 6'1, 151 lbs. and i cant seem to gain anything! i try and work out at least 6 days a week, but being a law student doesnt always allow time for that, so on a good week ill get to the gym about 4 times. as you can see in the pics i am extremely skinny and it seems that is all ill ever be. i do not currently take any supplements, but am looking into which would be the right ones for me. also interested in the type of diet i need to reach my goal of gaining about 15 lbs. i wanted to post some pics on here because i have seen how helpful and caring everyone is here, and i feel like im never going to make any gains!
so io guess my questions would be:
1. does it look like a guy with my body type would be able to gain the weight i desire?
2. what kind of supplements would you reccomend?
3. what kind of diet would you reccomend?
thanks in advance for looking at my pics and helping me out.
(i am pretty embarassed about how i look so im sorry i blocked out my face)

seems like ur not eating enough as your pretty skinny(low bf).
also i wouldnt worryin bout hittin the gym 6 times a week.
3 times is enough just focus on doin the basic three excercises
bench, squat, deadlifts, that should set u straight.

Alright son time to pack some meat on you!
Going to the gym at leat six times a week??? Ok, see that is one of your main problems right there, you are overtraining, and preventing muscle from growing as fast as it could, or perhaps at all.
Try going 3-4 times per week, a day inbetween each workout day, and keep your workouts to 45min to an hour in length, no longer!!
Each workout work a different main muscle group, ie: chest, back, legs, arms, etc
Do 3-4 sets per exercise, with a weight heavy enough so that by the 8th rep you have reached failure!
In terms of sups, get some protein powder to take right after your workouts, maybe start creatine AFTER you have workedout consistently with my guidelines for 3 months.
Perhaps most importantly, EAT EAT EAT, bump your calorie intake like there is no tomorrow with high protein foods, and get about 8hours sleep each night on average
If you sincerely listen to what I have just told you, you WILL grow!!

Bump, BigCasino
You're making a very common mistake amongst beginners, FSUjdh. It's good to be eager but it sounds like you're seriously overtraining. Most of us have done it in our early days.

ya dont make the same mistake most of us did. take a few days of and trust us it's much better to work out 3 times a week rather than 6-7. ur muscles can't grow if u dont give it time to grow..

you've been given some great advice FSUjdh. I was just like you 6'0 150 24 and did what they are suggesting and have gained about 20 pounds in 3-4 months. Try counting your calories to see where you are at now, and then slowly increase until you notice weight gain. Also helps to keep a journal of your progress. Good luck!
