These prices seem pretty close to prices in the mid 90s as well. There was basically zero food inflation from 1980s to 1990s.

Sure was nice. Remember going to Sizzler's with the boys and getting the All You Can Eat for like $6.99.
This has happened to every generation to various extent. 30 years from now people will be looking at today's prices in awe.

Yeah, food was so cheap in the 1990s. McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder w/Cheese meal Super Sized was like $6.50, and it was literally 50 oz of cola and a carton of fries 2x the size of a Large today.

Right before covid I was getting all you can eat hibachi grill for 8.99. And that was with hibachi fried shrimp, steak, and chicken. Plus all the regular chinese takeout food on the buffet tables.

They had to close for like a year though, I'm not sure what the prices are now.

There's a Sizzler open in Spuce Pines NC that I go to pretty often. It's delicious. Pretty much all white city and staff with great service.

I think in 1994, a regular soft shell taco was around fifty cents after tax, from Taco Bell.
