Really supportive of black Americans and devoted vast resources into jobs, education, integration.

Really hated the jews, and devoted vast resources into trying to expose and stop their global conspiracy to take over the world destroy western culture.

Left confused whether or not he would have fitted in on Misc.

One funny part was that late in life he used his giant fortune to fund all these experiments with scientists and farmers where they would try to find uses for bizarre crops. They didn't have much luck until they tried the soybean. They found they could process it to make all sorts of lubricants, plastics etc. Then they found that you could even turn it into an additive to stock feed. Finally, they got really brave and looked into whether it could be used as human food. They managed to put it into various things, though everyone except Ford hated the taste and texture. Then in a final crazy act he challenged them to make milk out of it. They succeeded, but everyone except him declared it undrinkable.

And the rest is history.

I read his autobiography book, "my life and work."

Very very good book. Extremely good business advice that NO ONE uses today. It's also nice to read a book that was written so long ago but you can make sense of it easily.

He had a little at the end about Jewish power and it was actually fascinating. Scary to see how it has unfolded since then.

Ford believed the Protocols of Zion were true. His experience with the world, as with many others at the time resulted in the same beliefs. In 2023, the Protocols look more true than they ever did.

I'm reading Bruce Catton's "Grant Moves South" right. If you like Civil War era stuff I recommend his books. Because he wrote these books a while back, he gives more of the political side of the issue and doesn't obsess about race.

One other interesting bit was about his mistress.

He and his wife had a pretty successful relationship on the whole, but when he was middle aged he got really into this hot sloot decades younger than him. He lined her up to marry an employee of his company. The guy initially thought he was getting a great deal being married to such a hottie, but then she wouldn't sleep with him. But then Ford promoted him big time and bought them a big bit of land near where he lived and built them a giant mansion, fitted with an external access to her (separate) bedroom. The guy got to throw his weight around at the company because everyone knew Ford had his back and he could do anything he wanted. But meanwhile Ford was ****ing his wife on the reg, and eventually she got pregnant and Ford bought the kid every kind of extreme luxury gift imaginable.
