Angry Fat people at the gym

Please don't let fat people get on the exercise bikes at the gym. I tried all 20 something exercise bikes at my gym and all of the cranks on the bikes were bent, very bent.

Thanks for letting me share my frustration!

Why don't you share them in one thread, instead of 50...

What I don't understand is why people go to gyms so they can use exercises bikes and such or why people buy treadmills.

It's better for them to be at a gym than at home feeding their faces with unnecessary calories, getting 'fat diseases' and raising your health insurance premiums as a result. That's just my opinion, though...

Treadmeals are fine, because they are more durable.

Bump. I'm tired of hearing people complain about how many fat people there are and then complain when some fat people are willing to get off their asses and do something about it.

I am glad to see people lose weight, but can't they do it without destroying every bike in the gym?

I seriously doubt every, or even a few bikes have bent seats from fat people. Go to a gym with better equipment if that's seriously a problem

Someone should tell them to change their life styles BEFORE going to the gym. Anyway, they're better off in the gym than causing traffic jams by people not being able to drive round them.

um you ever thought its the big blokes with solid legs doing hiit that are bending the cranks?

if you look at lots of fat ppl on the bikes youll notice taht they dont pedal particularly fast...quite the opposite really

maybe you should vent some frustration by going to a gym with better maintained stuff, or just buy your own

    cheers

How about weighing them before they go through the doors. Anyone over 350lb gets a map to weightwatchers.

That's not a bad idea, actually. Obese people need to get a handle on their eating habits before hitting the weights IMO.

I agree with 'honey' that if that is really a serious problem you need to either get better equipment or check the warranty on the current, cause you got ripped off!

It sucks that the fat ****s are breaking the bikes. But I think it is good that they are at least trying to do something about their disgusting physical condition instead of just sitting on their asses all day at home eating junk and getting fatter.
But the solace lay beyond the darkness
In a land where light and life dwell
Yet soon will come death and the numbing fires
Only then will my mind lie to rest

For I am alone on this world
Enslaved and surrounded by the living dead
Yet still I stand tall as I bleed
Deep from within the cuts upon my skin

The 350lbs rules though is insignificant - HAT in the pl forums is 367lbs and squats over 700lbs, try turning him away and saying you're just fat!

Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, if all of the cranks are bent, it might just be the shape they came in if it doesn't affect the bike? This is assuming all the bends are uniform of course.

Finally, we don't get people that fat too often outside the US so we don't have to worry about it - anyone read Vernon God Little yet? The way he slags Gurie for being a fat bitch is brilliant.
Use synonyms to guess my name.

Props to the Obese for trying..... Say nothing and they will keep trying, say negative things, they won't and the Obesity Epidemic won't turn.
To achieve success is certainly tough, but keeping it...much tougher.

I don't know who sucks more, the fat ass bitches.

Or the whiney little 140lb gym dykes that sit around bitching about other peoples form, habits, etc.

I go to the gym to workout. I don't go there to look at someone and wonder why he is doing arms for the third day in a row. It doesn't matter!

Who cares if fat people are working out? It's not like they hog any equipment except the cardio ****.

    Buncha little whiney teens.

I've been there, first hand experience. Granted I was only 250lbs but after I did a hearty cardio workout, I would go home and go buck-wild on pasta with pesto sause or a nice pizza. Ultimately and actually more importantly is their diets. After that, training and sleep play the biggest roles, IMO

    Thats my take, anyway

Lets face it people, if you are 'that fat' and in a gym you've been wrongly advised.

I know gyms are run commercially but surely , in the owners interest, obese people should be looked after. Example:

Obese person has a heart attack and you've just granted them membership after the induction. who is the first person the courts will point a finger at.

Injury caused by person bending part of the equipment. Equipment showing the maximum poundage of the operator written on it... but I've never seen this.

It's not just obese people,'runts' can be a nuisance too. lifting Weights far too big for them, dropping the things on people , getting stuck under the bar, getting trapped, sueing for back pains from wrong advise.

Personally , if i owned a gym i wouldn't accept people that are obese unless they'd spoken to a doctor before hand and were on a 'genuine' diet.
..Now available in all good stores with added sarcasm.

lol I could picture that-"Sir, due to your rather......excessive poundage we feel that it's quite likely any prolonged physical activity will kill you. Please get a clearance note from your doctor so your family can sue him instead of us. Thank you."

the only people who should be at the gym are people who are already in perfect physical condition. If you're fat, then stay the **** home.
