I like this genre as well. I recently watched the show 1899 on netflix and thought it was pretty good.

A trippy film I watched a year or so ago was one of those fan-made edits. It was Event Horizon + In the Mouth of Madness in one film. Sam Neill starred in both films. Happy Death Day and the sequel are both pretty fun.
