Cool Trying to get my wife into lifting

    Hello all,

Trying to get my wife into lifting. I also need some ideas for workouts that I can get her going on that she will stick to. She loves swimming, so that is a great cardio workout for her.

Any suggestions? Need help in getting her kick-started for the gym.

    Thanks in advance.

Im not sure if you can get her interested enough to stick with it, the interest has to come from within. Having said that when I first started it was highly social for me, I would always go with a friend. We would meet up on the treadmill for warm up and after workout cardio and just hang out and gossip. It was fun having her around. But then she stopped going and I started learning new things about excercise and I think it has been as much of an intellectual journey as it has a physical journey for me now. So I guess what Im saying is if she goes with you and you make it like a date to have together time Im sure it will get her in the door at least. From there she's going to have to find a reason to stay on her own, be it results or the energy levels or whatever she is looking for at that time. You could also give her exercises to do and tell her how much stronger it will make her when swimming if she loves it so much. Swimmers usually have strong shoulders.

and to the immortal gods who rule the wide sky."
