As a fan watching I'm glad they left them out, but it's definitely still unfair. Honestly they should have just left Michigan out.

Also something to consider about the game yesterday though, FSU had a ton of people skip the game who would have played in the playoff.

There is NO WAY you can leave out a UM team that is undefeated and the Big 10 champs.

Don’t like Bama and was pulling for Michigan, but honestly it would’ve been kind of cool to see Saban go out with one last championship. I can’t believe the wolverines played so damn sloppy and still won. Just goes to show how much an elite defense can overcome.

TBH, I do not see how in the world Bama beats Michigan outside of some freak accident or Michigan just not showing up. Historically, the more physical team at the line of scrimmage has won. Bama was that a decade ago and then a few years after and Georgia was that way when they won 2 straight, especially their first title. This year, Bama has been more of an improvised team put together by a running QB and needing to squeak out close wins against the likes of Auburn and South Florida.

People are high on the Tide because of their win against Georgia but the Dawgs were not nearly at the level they were at the past 2 years. They played close games against the likes of Auburn and South Carolina earlier in the year and that was with a healthy Bowers. Bama beat a Dawgs team without a fully healthy Bowers and now people are riding their coat tails.

Michigan is just too physical at the line of scrimmage and stocked with NFL-level talent at key positions for Bama to have a chance. The Tide needed a miracle against Auburn while Michigan won convincingly against the likes of Penn St and to an extent even Ohio St. I don't think this is a close game by any means.

Michigan wins by a pretty big margin. This is not the same Bama team from their championship days and Milroe is not Tua or Jones or Young.

Even on defense, you give up more than 70 yds per game than the Wolverines do while playing inferior competition like USF and Auburn.

Georgia was overrated all season. Almost lost to SCar and should have lost to Auburn. Overhyped due to the previous 2 years but had an overall soft schedule.

Watching these 2 teams, neither seem even close to as physical as UM or AL are on the line of scrimmage.

Either team imo would kill both TX or WS.

This. Michigan is a good team. The CFP should have made the executive decision though based on what they did and on what's coming.

Also, like 80% of FSU's starters opted out, so that's a completely different game. And no I don't think they beat Georgia with all those guys playing, or even with Travis healthy. They did beat everyone in front of them though.

Pretty much how I see it happening, except replace the word "boss" with "unaccountable coward."

I could be wrong, and I was wrong about Washington twice this year. I thought Oregon would clobber them in the rematch, and I thought Texas would win by ~10. So they have surprised me. I just don't think they match up well with Michigan though. IMO Michigan will ball control them into oblivion and Washington's defense will be gassed halfway through the 3rd quarter. Their only chance is if Penix plays a perfect game and puts 6 on the board almost every drive, and that's going to be real tough given the pressure he's going to face.

I'll probably just pull up a stream of the game on my monitor while Raw is on the main TV next Monday. The only silver lining in this is how hilarious it's going to be if/when Michigan wins and then gets it taken away in a few months-year.

WI had many more players out than LSU, including the top RB in the draft. An extreme down year is losing a Jan 1 bowl game to LSU by 4. What is your school's extreme down year look like?

I still don't think they made the right decision because their decision was inconsistent. If you're saying they should put the best 4 in (thus a good decision to leave FSU out) that opinion is fine. But they didn't put the best 4 teams in. They also didn't put the 4 teams who deserved it the most (by leaving FSU).

Wash is better than osu this year.
