The open test I did a few weeks ago for a few hours was enjoyable. I did like how dark some of the stories were.

It's hard to decide a class. After that last beta i would have went with a necro but they nerfed him to the ground.
It's between Sorc, Rogue, and Barb for me. Barb boring AF but strong end game. Leaning more towards Sorc and Rogue."Even through the darkest days, this fire burns, always."

going rogue, numerous reviewers/content creators have said the rogue is just fun to play, quick fast and good damage.
i already know whirlwind barb is going to be the most overpowered thing, but i ain't pvping so i'm focused on a good game play class..
after rogue i'll likely go sorc next season*** Free Thinker Crew ***

WW is very fun with a controller but I expect that build to be nerfed pretty soon. Not gonna follow any guides while leveling. I checked the tier lists out of curiosity though and I believe summoner was F tier lol.

Done for the night. Got in 4 hours. Level 15 currently. Went with sorc.
Crashed one time but it's because my GPU got too power hungry. Think it was the settings... had to tweak them. Set the max FPS a little lower, turned on DLSS, and no issues since.
Had one major lag occurrence in a side dungeon. No other noticing of lag.
Playing on World Tier 2 so far... haven't died once yet... but I've gotten close quite a few times tbh lol. 2 times in particular I thought it was over, but kiting / being defensive helped.
Definitely FEELS like a diablo game. The ******ce, story, music, dialogue, gameplay.
My only gripe so far is it feels like you can't zoom out very much, forced to be zoomed in. Perhaps there's a setting I've overlooked, but I'd like at least SOME more zoom out.
I've done a few side quests, one side dungeon, some open world shenanigans.
I haven't played with or interacted with any players yet, but I've seen them inside the city hubs. The main city hubs have an abundance of players in it. Didn't find a single person outside of them, I think that's intentional though.... you probably gotta be in a group to see other players outside of the city. With the exception of some world bosses and the PvP zones.
I can already tell the world is so huge and full of all kinds of ****. A completionist would be signing up for a hell of a job in this game.
The game scales with you... so unlike Diablo 2, any zone you enter is level-matched. Which I think is a good thing because it means everything is somewhat challenging, and you're always getting good exp, good gold, and possible item upgrades the entire time.
Got one legendary so far... a ring from a side dungeon.
I've seen hours of this zone in Twitch/YouTube, so it's about what I've expected.
First impression is:
A+ gameplay (at least in world tier 2 where it feels satisfyingly challenging at times but not too often) . Very responsive game, caters to min-maxers and casual players alike.
A- stability, especially since it's "early day 1", almost wanna give it A or A+. But I did crash once and had a major lag spike for like 45 seconds inside a side dungeon.
A+ atmosphere/setting/music/ambiance.
B+ learning curve. Feels like some things are easy to miss or understand, can see myself Googling stuff... partially my fault because I chose an option at the start insinuating I'm familiar with Diablo games. Multiple currencies, materials, crafting/upgrading mechanics.i7-14700k

played about two hours last night with several breaks. got to lvl 14 on twisting blades rogue. saw a few people at lvl 25. the build style seemed straightforward, but required a lot of good positioning to get the skill to work correctly. attack a monster that's ahead of the pack, dash through the rest, have the blades return to you, killing almost everyone else.
game felt about same as it did during the pre-purchase beta. i don't get what they tweaked with dungeons, because i still had to run around to exit them. really annoying.
saw the shop, which is ridiculously priced. don't have any interest in it at the moment. the characters are way too tiny when zoomed out to care about skins.
when it comes to fighting, the game feels a lot like diablo 3 rather than 2. not a big deal, but something to keep in mind if you've played both previous games.▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒

No idea who that retard is but saying that scaling content is somehow worse is a terribly mongoloid take.
With no scaling there's a good chance you'll be - either intentionally or not - over/underlevelled, thus introducing the potential need for grinding out side content you don't give a schit about. Guess how that would go down.
This way if one wants to explore every nook and cranny then they can do just that and will be rewarded for it while someone who only cares about the main story or whatever can just do that and won't be penalized for it.
And based on my beta experience it isn't even true, seeing how my sorc got a massive power boost from some drops and monsters/bosses that have previously cokblocked me started keeling over in droves.
Last but not least if he wants the "lvl 99 in Dio2 mowing down lvl 1 Fallen" experience then he can always turn down the difficulty.Last edited by BraneyGumble; 06-02-2023 at 06:50 AM.

Got to level 23 yesterday with Twisted Blade rogue. Still in A1, and there's so much still that I can do in the starting area.
On the way to the level 15 quest for rogue I killed that rare spawn and he dropped me this sick Darkblade. Then on the way back I saw he spawned again so I killed him again to get another. Now rocking two of them.
Really tempting to watch vids on what's next to come but not going to. Don't wanna spoil anything.
I don't mind the cosmetic shop it's basically just like POE as far as I have seen. Nothing has caught me eye to buy, not sure if I ever will do that.

With how massive the maps are though, if there wasn't any scaling people would be skipping over like 80% of the side stuff in every zone because the main story would carry them beyond the designated level ranges pronto. And then once you're a higher level you'd never feel incentivized to step foot in a previous zone again.

Cannot play on Ps5 it rubberbands so much it's not playable. I got great connection speed but again this is an issue people are having.
So figured I would try it on PC...another glitch, cannot buy it on PC since I own it on ps5. Blizzars is aware but still...annoying.Race: White

i'm actually loving the scaling world
no matter what side quest i end up doing from back in the older town, i am getting rewarded by instead of killing lvl 1-3 mobs i am killing my level mobs and leveling up and getting loot based on my level. its one of those things where you gotta play it and try it before you knock it.
basically you can skip the "unimportant quest/content" and advance in your story and still later return at your higher level still be rewarded without it being a time waster.*** Free Thinker Crew ***

i feel like your making excuses for blizzard.
why not have a mix of strong and weak monsters in a zone?
or a small area in a zone that contains strong monsters?
blizzard just went the simple and easiest route for them, least work.
brb just make them all the same level as you.
in this case, copy exactly what lost ark does lol
