not really sure, but I feel like he overexaggerates the benefits or the downsides of certain things. I always feel like he is trying to sell and to full send on some sort of idea so the bullchit alarm in my head goes off.

Bullchitter / grifter, like most Rogan "stars". And I like Rogan but he brings on bullchitters all the time. Some guy the other day was talking all kinds of lies about how "statins don't work" and lowering cholesterol doesn't prevent heart disease. The grifters that come to mind:
Huberman
Rhonda Patrick
Sinclair (plus connected to some company so greedy they're taking NMN off market)
Attia
Others I'm forgetting because they're wrong but also lack entertainment value**Eat lots and lots of birds. The smaller the bird, the more compact its protein content. Parrots are great sources for protein.**

Always seems to be selling something or selling an idea rather than simply present it. At the end of the day, these guys are selling you on themselves to get you to go to their channels. Most of the time they take VERY new and barely tested data (like the Sauna BS) and sell it like it's 100% legit and everyone needs to follow their recommendations.

Chael is the biggest BSer ever. He even got convicted for fraud or tax evasion
Every other word out of his mouth is a lie lmao. If he calls Huberman a liar, that means Huberman is trust-worthy (srs)
I've listened to some of Huberman's stuff and never heard him spewing BS. I haven't listened to his podcast in a while though
edit - It amazes me people listen to him. Just look at his history
-multiple failed drug tests for PEDs in MMA, denied cheating
-WWE-like character, said a bunch of untrue chit to get people's attention when he was fighting in the UFC
-embezzlement charges
-money laundering charges
-politician
-etc
The dude is a pathological liarLast edited by DYELstatus; 04-30-2023 at 07:08 PM.

Part of the problem is Joe brings these guys on and Joe is not a scientist. Joe barely even knows basics about TRT, which he has been on for a long time. I remember him talking about TRT dosages and he was so far off it was laughable. Then these grifters come on and they are good at presenting BS in a very believable way and Joe nods along and ends up promoting their nonsense.

Sauna studies (of which there are a total of TWO) are highly questionable because of user bias. The studies suggest that people that use saunas live longer. HOWEVER - the bias that is not addressed is that PEOPLE THAT USE SAUNAS and can SIT in super hot uncomfortable conditions are likely in far better physical shape than fatasses with heart problems that cannot tolerate saunas. In other words, saunas are specifically utilized by baseline healthy people and folks that don't use saunas (typically) are less healthy. Additionally, these studies are based on extrapolation from general population, they are not placebo-controlled. So you have a SMALL number of studies that are heavily influenced by user health-bias. Rhonda, Attia, etc do not mention this at all.
