not at all. i know it's going to be a similar format to re2 and re3 remake. same engine, similar gameplay and sticking the original game within reason. i already identified the issue (thanks to this thread actually) which i misinterpreted the adoration of this game meant it's predecessors were inferior to it. but that's an apples to oranges comparison because the games before it are so drastically different from RE4, it's basically like RE4 started a new franchise.

It’s a different feeling. I like 4 and 5, but it gave the some of the same fps jump scares existed for a while. It was just better at it. OG resident evil games were notorious for making it hard to move around/evade things. And your knife blows.
I can go through RE 4 (played both versions) just head shotting and slicing up half the enemies when they get stunned. Older RE games really made you feel helpless, which upped the fear portion of it a lot.
That said, I prefer less of that these days, my heart has taken enough beating. I play God of War Ragnarok on easy mode and only raise it for boss fights.I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.
