I'm only 29 so unlikely age. Started getting it as I was approaching 2 plates, I assume its probably some form/imbalance issue but I don't compete so easier to just stick to the SSB for now.
Since I switched a couple of weeks back my squat has been moving up quickly, so for now just plan on just grinding away until I can hit 3 plates for 10 and then go from there.☆☆☆υк ˘яєω☆☆☆

I suggest doing LOTS of bodyweight squats, wall sits, things like that where you're contracting those particular muscles for a while.
Sometimes I'll just do one squat but that one rep takes like 1:00 or more.
It teaches your body to start activating more of those muscles, kind of making you feel the movement better.
Helps with imbalances too.

No vids but last week I did 235x5x3 (setsxreps)
Gonna go for 245 this week.
I dropped my weight a lot because I recorded a PR of 295 and saw my form was ass. Depth wasn’t right, hips were shifting to the side, knees not staying over toes.
Figured it best to correct and avoid snap city at my age.Lurking since '05 - the days of VS gorilla/cloud/goku threads

Pretty ragged. Knees caved, lost back extension, but I got it up. 350 IIRC. Lifetime PR was 365. I'm 20 lb lighter now than I was in the video, and my guess is I could do 300 to 315 at the moment - that's just the only squat video I have. Need to go on another bulking cycle and make a run at 405.
