    I'm only 29 so unlikely age. Started getting it as I was approaching 2 plates, I assume its probably some form/imbalance issue but I don't compete so easier to just stick to the SSB for now.

    Since I switched a couple of weeks back my squat has been moving up quickly, so for now just plan on just grinding away until I can hit 3 plates for 10 and then go from there.

    Only messed with the SSB once. Was pretty interesting. Felt a bit harder than regular bar.

    I've been getting this pain on one side of my lower back when squatting lately probably because of hip tightness or something. I switched to squatting after leg pressing. Doing between 315-365 in the 6-10 range. Feels good.

    Definitely pulls you forward, would recommend as good for the upper back gains as well.

    Yeah I think the general rule is around 90% of your normal back squat, although I think if I tried 150kg with standard barbell right now my hips would snap off.

    I suggest doing LOTS of bodyweight squats, wall sits, things like that where you're contracting those particular muscles for a while.

    Sometimes I'll just do one squat but that one rep takes like 1:00 or more.

    It teaches your body to start activating more of those muscles, kind of making you feel the movement better.

    Helps with imbalances too.

    LOL I'm not the guy to talk to about getting stronger, but I can balance your body out (which does indirectly lead to some strength gains).

    No vids but last week I did 235x5x3 (setsxreps)
    Gonna go for 245 this week.

    I dropped my weight a lot because I recorded a PR of 295 and saw my form was ass. Depth wasn’t right, hips were shifting to the side, knees not staying over toes.

    Figured it best to correct and avoid snap city at my age.

    That's how it started for me. I recorded a set and though "I'm high as fuk", and made an effort to do it the right way. That also got me into powerlifting for a few years. Good chit boyo.

    Got 230x1 last month!

    Taking a 3 month break on the strength gains to get shredded again. Hopefully 405 on bench by the end of the year!

    Pretty ragged. Knees caved, lost back extension, but I got it up. 350 IIRC. Lifetime PR was 365. I'm 20 lb lighter now than I was in the video, and my guess is I could do 300 to 315 at the moment - that's just the only squat video I have. Need to go on another bulking cycle and make a run at 405.
