    Ethernet In New Apartment

In my new apartment, we have fiber optic internet, and the fiber box is located in the walk-in closet beside the front door. We have no control over this, as the entire building was set up for fiber and that's where they put everyone's fiber box. My computer desk is in the living room on the other end of the apartment, and my motherboard doesn't have WiFi, so I've always used ethernet. This wasn't a problem in my previous house as my cable modem was in my office directly beside my PC.

Is my only option to buy a 100 foot ethernet cable and tack it to the base of my wall all the way around from the closet to my PC?

Or is there another magical option I can do?

I always have my modem router setup in my TV stand with console gaming being my top priority for connection. But if I were in your situation I'd just drop a few hundred on a great WiFi setup and call it a day. Running wire like that is ghetto, hopefully you won't be living in ana apartment for too long, and with internet speeds and WiFi speeds being what they are is it really that big of a deal unless you are a professional gamer?

I dont know if its applicable to you but they have powerline ethernet adaptors that let you send the ethernet signal through electrical sockets and connect to it through ethernet cable on the other end.

This. Run to a more centralized location and put a switch/router there for further distribution. Fuk using Wifi when I have Fiber available.

I had good success with powerline adapters when I lived at my parents house.

If it was my apartment I'd prob run the long cable and make it as neat as possible.

Now my stuff is located next to my pc. But I did upgrade my house to a mesh wifi system and that was worth every penny, it works so well and my wifi is fast af even outside in my back yard.
