Why is living at home more frowned upon than being a rentcel?

Srs. Everytime I make a thread about degennmaxxing all the soyboys come in and make fun of me for living with parents.

If anything it’s more justifiable since I can afford to smash 8/10 big booty Latinas AND save for a house/mortgage since I have a decent career in the railway/train industry.

My bills/living costs are extremely low due to my situation so have lots of disposable income, hell I don’t even spend more than 5% of my wage on escorts. if anyone should get mocked for whoremaxxing it should be rentcels.

Yeah it may not be ideal for getting laid for free, but no chance in hell am I moving out now just to become a rentcel. I mean I could afford it but rent is money down the drain being cucked into paying your landlords mortgage rather than your own.

This what the low IQ miscers need to realise before posting ‘hurr durr 27 and live with parents LOL’

It's mainly an American thing. Not a single one of my friends moved out at 18, that's pretty retarded in general. 27 is pushing it though, after around 25 is starts to get a bit weird.

Suppose so yeah but I’m also half Desi.

It’s quite common in Indian/Pakistani or other Asian backgrounds to live at home well past 30 till you get married.

Although I have no plans to get married or settle down anytime soon tbh and my families pretty relaxed about it.

I think it’s more about the principle and what it implies

When you think of an ideal man (especially over 25) you think of someone who is strong, courageous, and is fully self sufficient in providing for himself and others if he is in charge of a relationship/family. So when you see a man over 24-25 living with his parents essentially leaching / being provided for it automatically puts him in a lower category than a man the same age grinding hard living on his own

Not saying it’s not smart, I think it’s pretty smart especially if you’re saving, you should use any advantages you can. Economy is crazy etc. But it’s easy to recognize why it’s looked down upon, it basically categorizes you as still a child

Because it indicates being a failure past a certain age ...and sorry no offense op but you are long past that age

How do you expect to grow and mature living with mommy and daddy as a grown ass man ?

My perspective & life is just completely different living alone than at home. It's amazing , I feel more confident , I can invite ppl / girls over , no bs questions to where I'm going and coming from .

I own a pretty decent condo now at 29

But just lol if you think this happened over night , I spent a couple years living in a ghetto apartment and did have a temp stint at parents

So review your options , if home owner ship is completely out of your reach I suggest you rent an apartment or get a room mate

It's one of those things you just need to experience...and it's not purely about finances . Yolo

Last stint at my parents before I bought condo literally felt like I was in a half way house and living there wasn't totally bad except for making logistics of getting laid challenging

Not sure how you can be a 27year old man and be completely content without getting out there on your own

Also , seems to me as if you aren't totally taking advantage of the savings at home since your blowing $$ on whores , that would typically go to other expenses etc

Also you are 27 , live at home , NO CAR

With those factors combined , and no offense but you are basically at the very bottom of the scale when it comes to dating

When I lived at home , atleast I had a car to pick up a broad up and even then it's a challenge

It's no wonder you use whores , time to get your chit together.

A lot of very successful people rent and don't believe in owning real estate unless it's an income-producing asset. So even buy vs. own isn't a clear cut thing. I've owned a home for 22 years. Up until around year 17 it had stagnated or even decreased in value. It shot up only in the last 5 years, also around when rates dropped. We may be hitting at least a mini-bubble burst, at least the prices can't continue the way they have been recently. So, even appreciation is not a given or something that could be timed. Also with a traditional mortgage you pay almost nothing down on the principle the first 7 years or so. If I would have sold the house at any point before year 15 I would have lost money. Around year 17-19 I would have broke even, and possibly been required to make 5 figures in repairs/upgrades to get a buyer. Only after 20 years of ownership would have made a decent profit and I still owe almost 50% the original purchase price.

Well, you can say a home is a great investment if you pay it off and keep it and treat it as a place to live forever. Great. Keep in mind by 30 years in you have paid for multiple roofs, furnaces, major appliances, perhaps a major or almost complete overhaul/remodel, etc. You are responsible for your yard upkeep. My deck and fence were both several thousand and have fallen apart. I've had to replace the roof for over 10 grand, garage door/opener a couple grand, gutters, storm doors, full AC system, etc all these things add up to about as much as replacing the whole house. Your property taxes will be more than your original house payment - I know many retirees who had to sell paid-off houses to cover taxes. I could've been renting the whole time with no responsibility for structural upkeep, lawn care, etc. "free" access to gym equipment, pools, etc, ability to downsize or move to different neighborhoods with little notice or penalty, etc. Biggest hindrance to these things is kids/family, but I'm almost done with that. I think my dream next stage is a nice but small and clean apt somewhere with zero property upkeep obligations. I don't need a house as a highly speculative ATM or money pit. It's nice to have your own yard but a lot of "homeowners" don't even have that. I'm not an old cat lady so I don't care about pet restrictions. Not a junkie so I don't need a private place for my messes, etc.

If you're living at home with parents, but have a plan to save money to buy a house and get your life together that's fine.

If you're living at home with parents, because you're an unmotivated lazy fuk and wanna live off mommy and daddy for the rest of your life, then you have a problem.

You are gonna be like 40 years old still saying this chit while smashing whores living at home

You need to take your salary , take what you have saved up for a down-payment and do some math and find out how long it's gonna take you be able to afford one

Not sure what's it's like in UK but in Canada it's that as simple as all that getting approved for a mortgage..I needed to provide several tax statements etc

So what I'm saying is if it's gonna take you 20 years to afford something you need to consider other options

    1) roommate , apartment or find a girl to date who is willing to split the cost of an apartment or house

What I'm saying is just because home ownership is often out of reach for a lot of ppl , that doesn't mean you should be content with living at home past a certain age.

I’m getting a car very soon but it’s not necessary because public transport is decent where I live , most places are walking distance plus I get free train travel due to my job.

However when I do get one I’m only gonna use it to drive to the gym and occasionally to work.

I don’t see how it would work when getting laid, most dates involve alcohol and you can’t drink and drive so just use Uber.

It’s a bonus for LTR I suppose but I’m just a smash and dash guy tbh, can’t even imagine having a gf or setting down.

I don’t have the money buy a house outright is what I mean, that would be the ideal scenario but not realistic rn.

However I can afford a mortgage but it would take me 10-15 years to pay off before I could move out.

It's not. What *is* frowned upon is zoomers who work middle class jobs while still mooching off their parents well into their 20's (with no end in sight) while contributing literally nothing from their middle class paychecks to the overall household needs.

moving out of your parents house and living on your own teaches you things that you wouldn't learn otherwise.

i used to LOL @ people who would try to give me advice about this and that, but were still living with their parents into their late 20's/early 30's, when i had already been moved out since my early 20's.

Lool so the misc thinks people living at home past 25 are children. I swear its like some of you lot live in a bubble of piss(Not you personally). Its not only the Economy on a bender. Its the cost of living, Inflation, Housing market, Rental market, Automation.Pensions won't be worth **** either. Why can't people on here look ahead of the curve of whats to come. There is a depression coming you flipping kunts.

This is why i love to be aware of everything because even the top 20% will get caught slacking eventually. The US is on the brink Just like here in the UK. Gen Z and Millennials at a record high for staying at home for various reasons. Ive personally moved out but not on my own. Everyone thinks they deserve a place of there own and that dream is quickly becoming a nightmare because of how much everything costs, I know people who have had to move back in with there folks, Even mates who live on there own are scrapping by and still come to burrow money off me.

Ibby is a UK brah like me. You yanks may not know but most of our services are striking left right and centre here. NHS,Trains,Postal, teachers and thats not to mention carers looking after you boomers are leaving aswell. Things are getting grim. Even landlords don't give a **** that most of there places have black mould growing. Asthma and respiratory problems are on the up. Forward to 10 years down the line and things won't be bright....At All.

Because miscers live in their own little bubble of perception and can only develop an understanding based on their own personal experience.

I've lived with my parents and lived on my own while renting. Both have advantages, and misc will judge you for both so it's best to just disregard misc opinions on that stuff.

Imagine being proud of working a chit job when you were 15 and becoming a poor rentcel when you were still a teenager. Did your family abandon you or did you just make poor life decisions on your own?
