Been stuck at a plateau for quite some time

What's up everyone...it's been a while since I've been on the threads and good to see that they're still up and running.

So, I'm looking for some advice from people who've shared the same experience. I've been a steady lifter for about a two years now. I'm 5'6 at about 170+ lbs. The past 3-4 months I've been stuck in a rut. My lifts have stayed the same or decreased some. I haven't been able to make any noticeable progress for a while. I don't believe I'm overtraining. I train 4-5 days a week and take a good week off every two months or so. My appetite has decreased a little...I'm not hungry all the time like I used to be.

I feel like I've lost my old mentality. Just seeing myself making all the progress that I was was just a huge boost in energy and confidence in itself. It's almost like I've lost the motivation in the gym and it's very frusterating.

I'm sure there are lots of people who have experienced this. What have others done to overcome a situation like this?

Thanks all.

try a diff routine:
maybe try a classic 5x5(five reps five sets per exersize), thatll make you stronger.

try some supps: CEE, N.O., arginine. More calories, ect.

Think of all the chicks youll impress and the people that wont f*ck with you, stay motivated, pick up some magazines!

PM me if you need more help haha

HOPE THIS HELPS

I would say drastically change your workout routine. New lifts, different rep ranges, different angles, etc..

You could try some creatine if you've never used it.

Just try some new things... I'm trying to switch it up a bit, as odd as it sounds I did chest last night (dumbbells, normal chest night) and I had some time to blow tonight so I went and did high rep low weight bench and legs which means I'll hit legs and chest twice this week. Not normal and not something I'd generally do.. but it's a change and hopefully it'll help keep things moving.

you should try out REST PAUSE its a technique. it works good for me and is really good to blast through plateus and use frequently as a routine also.
