Getting old sucks...
At age 52 I pulled 615
At age 54 I pulled 545
Things have sucked lately with hip/knee/back pain but I managed a 500 lb pull this morning with no pain whatsoever.
Hopefully I can keep moving forward and maybe compete again...

This pleases me, congratulations!
I know its not the result you wanted but pulling 500 is no easy feat regardless of age.
You have been somewhat of an inspiration for me since we met. We are close in age, with you up on me just a few years. Been looking at you as an example that strength gains can still be had going on those 50+ years. Your example has kept the bar raised for me. To this day I still seek and obtain strength increases knowing through your example that age is not an excuse to allow oneself to get weaker.
I sincerely thank-you. (srs)
I don't know what the age cap could be on strength gains, nor when the cost to benefit ratio favors lighter lifting as we age...what I do know is you've set on an example for those that believe one is shot to sh*t after 35+.
Respect to you my man.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the positive feedback and encouragement.
I think this is the first time my deadlifts has been significantly better than my squat. But it's coming back too.
Been a long time since I squatted over 500.Insta: flexjs
