stop playing basketball..sorry dude. Tendonitis is an overuse injury, the best thing to do is get some initial complete rest (may be 2 weeks..might even be 2 months) until most of the pain subsides then slowly build your strength back. Also you might want to see a doctor to specifically find which tendon has tendonitis

yeah i got i used to get it in my wrists alot, i guess you're just over doing it. rest up for a while until you feel it's gone, then gradually start back again (but def cut down when you're back)

lol u cant really just stop playing college basketball, lol i doesnt work that way. you want to rest whenever u can and dont have practice but if it really hurts i guess u would have to rest up but isnt the season ending now so u might have a couple weeks off correct?

I had tendonitis in my right elbow from pitching in baseball. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me naproxen (spelling?). They first gave me pills and then a creme form. Neither were strong enough so I went back to the doctor and he gave me a Cortisone shot. It definatloy helped but not enough so that i could ever pitch again. I would go to a local sports doctor and have them check it out.

I had the same thing when I ran track back in High School. I went to the Orthopedics (i believe) they gave me a list of stretches that I had to do throughout the day and within 2 weeks I was back running!
In sum, go see a specialist and you'll be back on your knees again!
