Truth, and furthermore you will never hear of any of the pricks voting for these measures willingly paying more than their required share in taxes.
If US citizens were truly allowed to vote but with their pocketbooks, politicians might have to come up with new ways to funnel money around. I've said it elsewhere, but we can't even support our own citizens who not only could use the same money we might as well just burn (at least what isn't going to the Big Guy), so they're not even hiding how little of a damn they give about us. Unfortunately there are enough stupid sheep who place greater value on feel-good fiscal policies that only serve to set us (including them) further back.
As we often see, the people who blindly support these measures fail to accept that the reality over there is often a hopeless and grim reflection of differences throwing money at simply cannot overcome.
You can't help AIDs prevention when something we see as basic as safe sex practices are looked down upon while women, or more often than not, girls are treated like disposable, sexual commodities.
You can't address widespread hunger and poverty when the former problem results in an unending stream of unsustainable newborns, many of which are infected from the womb, only to perpetuate the cyclic decline.
Even more so, you can't help when warlords sweep up the resources for themselves while they're recruiting those offspring to raise as child soldiers. A "Children of Men" future is more hopeful than anything so-called philanthropists and political hacks will ever accomplish because as with most bleeding heart, leftist idealist movements, they completely ignore root problems that can and will undermine attempts to assist, resulting in an ongoing bleed of our resources for null.
There's only so much help we can do without others helping themselves, and there is no indication of that ever changing.
Mineral mining does, especially for those necessary for the batteries meant to run electric vehicles. But they don't like to talk about that part of their "Green New Deal."I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

China has been investing in Africa( steal natural resources) while the USA sat on its hands for at least 2 decades now; so it "appears" what he is trying to do is invest in favorable status in order to (steal resources) and create goodwill. It may or may not work, if China owns to much of the country already by manipulating them.

You'd love to see it - the panic and sweat, I mean.
Hell, just imagine if politicians worked like every other job and were subject to performance evaluations on the regular instead of a song and dance every two years. 99% of Congress is due for a heavy demotion and diminished income. Why, let's just make it retroactive and count all their years of failed performance for one giant lump sum. We could actually get something done with all the money they'd have go cough back up.
Meanwhile, the country is facing prices in basic food items that realistically are a hell of a lot higher than several percentage points because gremlins or something.
That's exactly how I see it, but I'm leaning towards it being more futile than anything else because China's advantage isn't even their head start or concentrated dedication, but lack of respect for human life.
They don't care about their own people, so Africa is basically just an entire continent of other people they have no problem turning into their own slavery-adjacent workforce while ripping out the resources. So, they can do pretty much the same slow boil that worked for them already with their own people when it came to creating a willing enough workforce that they can manipulate into thinking is happy with their current status quo.
China's working on a deeper level than simply money-hatting, well if we're being honest, probably just local corruption and dictators.
Ignore the past, ignore the symptoms, ignore the failed results, and keep trying the same stupid tactic to see if it works this time. Sounds like our government.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

Did it ever occur to you that the Chinese mission for the world is the communist one? They seek to develop these nations, not plunder them the way Americans did. You just assume China and Russia are imperialist when their missions have been, under communism, to oppose imperialists. They seek to build a prosperous world order where the historically exploited countries in Africa can sustainably develop.

Capitalism is the best way to develop these nations, if you want a perfect example, look to China lol.
Now you might ask, "Why would I look to communist China if I want to prove capitalism is the best way to develop nations"?
The reason China has developed so quickly is the capitalist thirst for cheap labor, capitalist go where the labor is cheapest, they build infrastructure, they develop a middle class over time, the middle class begins to demand more resources, workers start to gather together in their demands, the cost of labor begins to increase and then the capitalists move on from a now developed nation to a nation where the labor is cheapest, this process continues until every area of the world has become strong.
The next nation on the docket is likely India.I: Self, Lord and Master.

China has a mixed market system. And that seems to be the best way to go. India is not able to be like China. It has too much disorder, and that is due to democracy. Mixed market systems seem to be more effective. India will continue to develop and do well, but China will likely remain ahead unless India becomes more authoritarian.

lol @ idiots comparing Ukraine to Africa. Ukrainians are fighting the war the weakens our main global adversary, on top of putting all our military equipment to real life test which allows us to see what works and what doesn't to improve our own posture. We get a ton of benefit in return from this investment.
Meanwhile, what the fuk is Africa doing besides breeding like cockroaches (by far the highest fertility rate in the world) and spamming your inbox with Nigerian Prince scam emails?! Malaria and AIDS? Are we still stuck in the 70's?
This exactly right here. Decades of billions (or maybe by now over a trillion) dollar handouts that all been wasted with no results. And we got a ton of refugees on top of it that flood Europe and sh*t all over it with increased crime rate and violence.
