    Running in the morning

Hi ! I am currently doing the Body for Life program. Its like this mon.wed friday weights and the other 3 days in between cardio 20 min. (with increases and decreases in intensity)...the author also says for that optimal fat burning do the cardio in the morning on an empty stomach..Is this a good idea? If not ..do you guys have any suggestions from your past experience? Thanx!

running on an empty stomach is a bad idea, but when someone is reffering to cardio on an empty stomach, they mean low intensity. Peace

it can really very on you and your metabolism, many people i know run in the morning but take in 25g of whey protein in water, 25-30 mins before running, and retain alot of their muscle mass. However, if you have the time id much rather prefer the HIT method, or 10 sprints , 3 times a week with a post workout shake.

    Good Luck

i wouldn't do hiit first thing in the morning but if your doing medium/low intensity cardio just have something to eat about 45 minutes before hand.

It's been working well for me. Best of luck
