was having this discussion with my girlfriend and some of her friends and their boyfriends/husbands last night..
Is it ok? We were split down the middle. I say it is not ok because clearly the person buying the drink is attempting to flirt and if you accept you’re allowing that.

I always ask what James bond and what naruto would do in any situation.
If I think they would respond the same way, then that's the right thing to do.
In this case, I think they both would welcome the compliment like gentlemen while also making sure a second advance doesn't happen.[My wife drank 9 Adios MFers in one night on a business trip with her boss]

Nothing wrong with the guy trying/offering(granted he doesn't know she's there with someone)
The test is how your girl responds.
When I was in college i.used to drink for free off the dude's buying the girl I was with drinks. Now as a grown man, I expect my wife to politely decline and aware the man shes.married.Ol' 71st street. The devil that birthed me.

I never lived.with this thought(fear) until I had children.
Was always down to throw hands over disrespect. Now I find myself walking away when I know the old me would have fuked that dude up. Hard to sleep at night afterwards sometime, but the thought of leaving my kids without their father has me.shook.Ol' 71st street. The devil that birthed me.

Guys who WANT to fight in bars are gay 100% srs
A bar should be a place of focus to picking up girls and that's really It.
Now if a guy wants the same girl and you agree to a gentleman's fistfight, that can be done without tremendous animosity. I'd like that kind of society[My wife drank 9 Adios MFers in one night on a business trip with her boss]

I've never accepted free drinks from strangers. Single or not single.
When they ask me what I want or come up to me with a drink, I'll tell them no thank you, or tell them to give it to another person like their friends or another girl, or tell them to just drink the shot themselves and have fun. Then I'll proceed to order my drink that I want.
If we're all drinking as a group of friends and buying rounds, sure I'll participate and I'll buy a few rounds myself because it's fun hyping things up. But never one on one with strangers.Go Jets Go
