I was doing bicep curls with a 37.5lbs dumbbell in one hand and a 35lbs dumbbell in the other. After 5 sets of 5 I was wondering why my left was so weak today. I hope people didnt see that ****. And if they did why didnt they tell me. Felt like an idiot...

Compounding.
Sorry- I get really frustrated when people use the word superset in place of compound.
Compound- different exercise using same muscle group with no break between the two (dumbell curl to preacher curl)
Superset- different exercise using opposing muscle group with no break between the two (bench to cable row).
But yeah, that guy sounds like a class A idiot.
I personally can't stand how effing rude and inconsiderate some people are in the gym. People who curl right in front of the rack, people who use the squat rack for something other than squatting, people who look at you with disgust when you politely ask them how many sets they have left. Generally I find the ones acting like this are the beanpoles who clearly have no idea what they are doing. As such, they feel the need to inflate themselves with a narcissistic personality to make themselves feel more secure about the fact that they have no idea what the phuck they are doing in the gym. Retard, I know your game, just shut up and be a polite noob and everyone will be happy.

2 weeks ago there was a guy who used every single machine. He would get on one, do 10 of the most "i'm taking a giant dump" looking reps, then move on to the next one. No real order to it, just whichever one was closest. He hit every single machine in the gym. He didn't wipe down any of them when he was finished, and after his 'circuit' was over, he started unracking dumbbells. Grab one, too heavy, drop it on the floor. This continued until he was asked to leave. I really hope he was just trolling, because if not, he had issues.

I pay much more attention to what i'm doing than to other people in the gym no matter how they look.

There was an attractive young lady in the gym on Saturday, I would venture a guess that she was around 19-20 years old. She decided to wear the shortest shorts I've seen on a person (bottom 1/4 of her ass was showing), and a sports bra. She spent the entire time there doing decline chest flys, reverse flys, goblet squats, and every other exercise one could do to drive the focus to either their chest or butt. And of course, she made sure to face a direction which allowed maximum 'audience viewing'.
This behavior in and of itself does not bother me one bit. What pissed me off was when she went to the front counter to complain that guys kept staring at her. They guy working there is an older guy who has little patience for nonsense. His reaction was priceless. He just looked her in the eye and said, "Then put on some clothes. You're half naked, did you really think people wouldn't be staring at you?"Last Meet:

HAHA, but I'm sure she would have been fine if the "right" guy would have been staring at her and approached her...since that obviously was her intent. Can't believe she thought she had a valid complaint. LOL
Love what the guy at the front counter said...absolutely perfect.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

Hahahaha, so many lulz in this thread. Not too many idiots at my gym, mostly just uninformed, thus they have horrible form, but I did see one last week. We were the only two in the weight area (the gym had just opened), I was doing dead lifts, and he was in the power rack doing some oblique twists or something with a band. After his twists, he then jumps up and does three of the worst pull-ups I've ever seen (like we was bringing his knees to his chest....was almost in a fetal position at the top of his reps). I kinda chuckled to myself at his form, but no biggie as we all have to start somewhere....but it gets better. He goes and grabs the weighted belt and throws a 25lb plate on and tries to do a weighted pull-up (uwotm8?). His first attempt resulted in epic failure, but he didn't let that deter his efforts. Oh no, he proceeds to chock up the chain on the belt, as if the the weight dangling is what caused his failure. It wasn't, as his second attempt was worse the first. What does he do next? Why he chocks up the chain even more, so at this point the plate is up around his waist looking like a giant belt buckle. Surely this will help him get a rep......it....it didn't. Frustrated, he tore the belt off, put the stuff away, and stormed off not to be seen the rest of the day, all the while I'm trying to hold back tears from laughing internally.
Cliffs:
-Idiot can't do 3 clean pull-ups
-Decides to try weight pull-ups instead
-Fails miserably, after each fail, chocks the chain up on the belt higher and higher as if that is the problem
-Finally rage quits

This past Saturday I saw someone who displayed more characteristics of idiocy than one person should be allowed to by law.
A) Squatting in the smith machine
B) Partial rep squats
C) Squatting in running shoes
D) Using the puss-pad
E) Grunting like hes giving birth on every rep with 185lbs
F) Telling the girl in the squat rack doing full ROM squats that she's going to destroy her knees.Last Meet:

This one goes out to the personal trainers. We can all certainly understand the benefits of super sets or circuit training. However, do not occupy multiple pieces of equipment where it takes you client over ten minutes to re-use the same equipment; particularly in a crowded gym. We expect that from noobs. Trainers should know better.

One guy at my gym, walks in, goes to lat pull down machine, proceeds to do endless sets of lat pull downs swinging like crazy with like 50 lbs for about 30-45 minutes then leaves. Three times a week.

I'm embarrassed about being guilty of doing so many things listed on here, but fortunately none of them apply to me anymore!
There's this old guy at my gym, around 50/60 years old, everyone knows him. He walks in the gym, spends about 15 minutes talking to whoever is at the counter at the entrance, does his own thing (cycling, a few exercises and such) then goes to the showers. This would be fine, except god damn him if he sees you do something he doesn't agree (be it your form, the exercise you're doing or whatever), saying that it will negatively impact your health. The best thing about this? He smokes a cigarette every time before walking in to the gym.
