a bloated extra chubby apple-shaped girl took a 30lb straight bar and stood right in front of a mirror and proceeded to do high rep 1/4 squats.

I don't understand why people lift in baseball hats and snapbacks. Does it serve a purpose other than fashion?

Not really a gym idiot, but I always find the pink granny at my gym funny. She would have to be well into her 60's, and always seems to wear a pink tracksuit of some sort. She goes to the same treadmill at the end of the line and puts her newspaper over the display. She is barely walking on it, just seems to stand there and read the newspaper for half an hour or so then leaves.
If that's what she wants to do then I have no problem with it, I just find it amusing that someone would hop on the treadmill to read.
As for doing curls in the squat rack, I have just joined a small local gym and the owner regularly gives me advice. Anyways, on the first day he got me curling in the squat rack. Then again it was quite quiet and it was his gym, so I had no problem with doing it.

Had this happen yesterday. Our gym has 2 huge dumbbell racks (5-125lb) basically end to end in the free weights section.
Guy sits on a bench right in front of one dumbbell rack, he then proceeds to walk past the dumbbells he's sitting right in front of to grab some off of the other rack.
He grabs a set of 5, 7.5, 10, 12, 15, 20 and sets them all up in front of the bench.
He then proceeds to do some awful half-ROM curls with half of the weights, gets up and leaves them there.
This next one happened the same day.
I made the mistake of going to the gym during “rush hour”.
All the newbies are there but everyone needs to start somewhere.
Monday is push so I went to start off with bench press. There is one bench station open with no bar. No biggie, the gym has plenty stashed all over the place.
I cross the entire gym and grab an empty bar from the rack and haul it all the way back to the bench.
I turn around to grab some plates to warm up with and by the time I turn back around some (%&!@ newbie is taking my bar off the bench!
The bar wasn’t out of my grip for more than 5 seconds and this jamoke thinks I’m done. Did he not see me just walk across the gym with this bar?On the road to 1250

I hate when people don't put the DB back. Its usually the ones I need and I have to walk around the gym looking for them.
The way I claim a bench is I put my towel over the bar. I had to do this during the gym rush hour just to get a drink of water otherwise someone would steal my bench.The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

At the gym this morning, about to start doing my thing when I hear what sounds like a cow giving birth. Keep in mind I have my ear buds in and the music is going. So I look around the corner and there is this 6'5" wet noodle with a 15 lbs dumbbell in his hand yelling after each curl.
WTF
Come to find out this was his first sets. Great!! Only 3 more to go.CUTTING HARD
Started ------> 237 lbs, 27% BF
Now ----------> 198 lbs, 16% BF
Goal ----------> 185 lbs, 10% BF {Gunna take some time but I'm in for the long haul}
In all human affairs there are efforts, and there are results, and the strength of the effort is the measure of the result.
