    Am I doing it right?

    Hey all
I've been working out for a while, but have only recently started taking it seriously to build muscle for looks. Over the last few years I've played around with different supplements, especially ones that have a lot of different types of supplements combined, and nothing seems to stick (pun intended?). I see some muscle, but not much build. Everything I read gives me a very opinion. While I understand asking this group may give me varied opinions as well, I just thought I would see if I'm doing something wrong. And if so, what should I be doing...

    Breakfast

Morning (typically between breakfast and lunch)
1scoop Muscletech Whey Isolate Clear (22g protein)
7g XTEND Original BCAA Powder Knockout
3g (1/4 tsp) BulkSupplements Beta Alanine Powder

    Lunch

    Workout

    Mid day/post workout
1 scoop Muscletech Whey Isolate Clear
7g XTEND Original BCAA Powder Knockout
3g (1/4 tsp) BulkSupplements Beta Alanine Powder
    5g Creatine Monohydrate Micronized Powder

    Dinner

    Evening
1 scoop Muscletech Whey Isolate Clear

    Would love any thoughts!

3 scoops of whey per day and 14g BCAAs? What does your dietary protein intake look like?

I’d honestly bin off the BCAAs unless you’re on a severe calorie deficit. It’s just not necessary.

Hey.... Doing that much whey bc I'm told I'm supposed to get around 70g of protein a day. Hence 2 to 3 scoops gets me there.

The label of the BCAA says 2 scoops a day (14g)... This is why I am asking!!

Dude if you need 3 scoops x 22g protein (66g protein) just to hit 70g protein a day, you're not eating enough real food.

70g of protein is low unless you're around 90lbs. There is protein in food. Your protein macros aren't determined solely by protein powder. All the food you're consuming is protein, fats, and carbs. I would highly recommend checking out the nutrition forums for some general dietary advice and to help you determine your macronutrient needs.

Also, not only should you not add BCAAs (aminos) to your protein powder (aminos) you should drop the Xtend/BCAA products all together. Whole food > EAA >/BCAAs.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.
