    Is it possible to injure your lower back doing dips?

    I **** you guys not I did dips yesterday and my lower back is killing me.Im short and fat strong, but anyways I did 5x10 and I go very deep in my dips, anyways today my tri's and chest feel very pumped but my lower back is extremely sore.

    I try to but I'll admit sometimes I dont, I know when I have my **** together and my abs tight and am focusing on the task on hand I can crank out and extra 5 dips, the most Ive ever done was 18 full dips at bw of 232

    Focus on keeping the abs tight and don't let your torso twist. Some people might have the torso twist on them when they are working close to or at failure.

    ya see, I can keep my legs straight while doing dips and they still won't touch the ground. Looks like I found an extra advantage to being short.
