Maybe not music and movies wise, but everything was there. A husband could walk across the street and get a job paying enough for all the bills. The wife's body count was low. She kept the house clean and kids in order, no need for weirdo strangers watching over your kids. If anything it was a teenage babysitter 4 houses down. Innovation was always around the corner. Cost of living was cheap, life was simple and pleasant.

Outside of racism, America was peak in the 50s and 60s. The change is mind blowing.

They were all drunk. Wife was phucking the delivery boy, husband was phucking his secretary.
Husband worked himself to death for a company that eventually got rid of his retirement.
Neurotic wife raised boomer children whose crap we are still dealing with.
Their daughters ran away to San Francisco and spent half their life getting high. Their sons got killed or horribly maimed in Vietnam.
Oh yeah! Happy times! The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

I think the 80's and 90's should keep going on a loop but we just age normally.

This
90's and 2000's was peak culture before 4g/5g, social media and smart phones took over our every day lives
People do not realize how addicted people have become to social media and smart devices let alone other advanced tech just in the last 10 years which has caused numerous social issues
We are basically living in a different world now than the 2000sPC specs

That context gets us in trouble. The way to look at it, is that minorities were forced in to high standards. They knew if they didn’t get educated, keep themselves straight, consequences were harsh, harsher than whites.
What changed that was AA and welfare. Now minorities could get by on low standards. This caused the entire culture to change. The other thing is that this told minorities that they could never be good enough without the white man and his gubment.
As mentioned in another thread, Malcom X talked about this constantly. He refused to accept that blacks needed help. That they all had great potential, like any other. MLK on the other hand, being a liberal and socialist, felt the only chance blacks had was through reparations and exploitation of government. MLK and Malcom never reconciled their differences. One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

That’s because the Japanese are pretty racist. They won’t let anyone in, nor anyone to pull them away from their culture. Its not all honorable like the stereotypes. Its just that their culture forces out anyone who they feel threatens their ideals. Had an American friend that lived in Japan in the 80s and 90s. He found it very difficult to find places to eat and do business. They held their arms up, crossed like an X, telling him their don’t serve Americans. If he stayed, they pretended he didn’t exist
Otoh, America was set in certain values too. When we started allowing cultures to dictate American values, it was over.
On a final note, unfortunately, every oppressed culture eventually rises up against their oppressor, even if they are living in harmony. I’ll give you three guesses who starts the division of a nation that leads to these revolutions. Its a process though.
I’ll give you a hint; if a culture doesn’t become educated and successful before entering politics, bad things happen. One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.

It’s not racism all the time but most of the time it’s extreme nationalism.
The Japanese saying no service to gaijin is most of the time they can’t speak English. Other times it can be racism as they think most foreigners don’t understand Japanese etiquette and will cause problems.
Things only work for Japan because it’s so homogeneous. If you stick out or cause problems you’re insulting your whole nation. Not particularly a good thing. Japan is hanging on by threads. The yen is so weak right now. And them closing borders for so long hurt them even more.
They’re traditional ways gonna have to change soon
