I think that's when I switched from Amiga to a packard bell I.B.M.486. Most games ran off MSDOS. Windows was in its infancy. Modems were like 14400 baud and hard drives stored like 40 megabytes.

This is exactly what it’s like when someone asks for help with a phone or computer, like I don’t care about your “digital journey” and you should be more worried about who will look after you in your latest years. Go enroll at a college something.

The Sharp X68000 and the Neo Geo AES were were both like 5 to 10 years more advanced than any other computer or video game console at the time.
The Sharp X680000 came out in 1987 and the Neo Geo AES came out in 1990. Many of the games came out later obviously.
Literally Arcade quality at home when such a thing was unthinkable to mere mortals. They were both EXPENSIVE AF and so were the games. You'd literally be a king in your elementary, middle, or high school if you had one and had a bunch of games. You could literally probably charge people to come to your house and play video games.

LOL! I bought a Compaq Presario with a pentium 100MHZ back around then. I remeber playing Descent on it and having Corel Wordperfect that I would write epic screenplays on.

Lol I remember my family got our first PC in like 96. I remember my mom was real possessive of it, wouldn't let me play Command and Conquer on it because she absolutely had to take a stroll through The Information Super Highway.
