Ladies!!!
No it's not another one of those threads. Does it seem to anyone else that this forum has become overrun with males wanting female advice or their ego stroked? What's even more disturbing is the number of women, either "wives" of "friends" who are incapable of asking their own questions or seek advice. Are they just incapable of using a computer or don't they care enough to learn for themselves? If I seriously wanted to change my life or even just an aspect of it, I sure as hell wouldn't ask someone else to do it for me. That would be like asking them to exercise for me too.
Maybe some genuinely don't know how, or have access to a computer, but there are plenty of other resources out there. Is it too hard to say "Honey, there is a great site with lots of great information on _____ from women who are, or have been, in the same situation as you. If you can't find an answer to a question, ask, because it's a really supportive site and there's always someone willing to help."
Yeah, this sounds negative but I'm bored. I've been checking in several times a day, every day for a week but it's the same help my wife/friend/what part do you like better/am I good-looking stuff. I miss the "I need help" Please help ME" posts where someone is taking a proactive approach to changing their own life. I understand that there are guys who really want to help their wives/girlfriends, and this would be the obvious place to seek a woman's opinion, but it's always the same questions.
Maybe there should be an "Advice for people who can't ask for themselves" forum.
Okay, I'm done venting. Say what you will.

I dunno... I think there have been plenty of posts from women looking for workout/diet advice. But yeah, there's definitely a surplus of men hangin' around - even here in the female section. "Whoops! Sorry, didn't realize I was posting in the Female Bodybuilding section." How do you not know what section you've entered?

This is a common scenerio on a lot of boards. I have my competition log on Elite Fitness, and also belong to a few other boards. We always get q's from men about their wives/girlfriends.
I agree that the women should be asking instead of the men, but I think a lot of women are told by their guys that they can "get them in shape", when in reality, they have no clue where to begin. lol

Is it just me, or there seems to be certain surges in when a large number of males come on here with random questions? For instance, with the onset of spring, we now have a number of threads pertaining to what looks females prefer while summer brings an extraordinary amount of "what body part do you girls prefer" and so forth?
Or maybe its just me overanalyzing things? hmmmmmm

I can understand your frustration. I wish there was another section specifically for men wanting a women's opinion.

No, tis true. I'm sure I remember reading something around 6 months ago on this forum that addressed the kinds of questions guys shouldn't waste their and our time with by posting. Hell, there's already a sticky for the "what body part" thing but as is life we still get some bozo who is either illiterate or thinks he's special and sometimes both, posting these same old questions. I wondered if imposing an age restriction for forum posting would help. "Men, you must be at least 18 to post" but then I looked at some of the ages of these guys. We'd have to up it to "you must be over 40", and that would still be pointless since vanity and ego know no bounds.
I don't know. When it's slow on here sometimes I check out those posts out of sheer boredom, feel sorry for them and express disdain for the educational system that keeps advancing students who can't spell their own name. For the past few months, however, my time has become extremely limited and precious so that I usually don't have time to reply as often as I'd like and I hate wasting it by sifting through posts by people who just want their ego stroked etc.
