I was never a thin-blue line guy because I thought it was cringe. It became ubiquitous with conservatives partly because cops were wrongly targeted by leftists in all these bodycam shootings. However I was usually sympathetic to the message.

Now, I treat cops on a much more case-by-case basis. And yes, overbearing police forces have historically been a threat against civil liberties. All because "just doin muh job/muh pension". The state ultimately owns them, unless they have the agency and ethical mindset to quit and do something else.

Leo is state controlled, so your comment does not make sense...I live in CA, our Sheriff refused to shut down any businesses and did not enforce mandates whatsoever, even arrested some BLT people interfering with traffic, there were only 10 total lol, and all of them went to jail...he even spoke at our church. I support law and order. In the LEO profession, you are gonna have some bad apples (just like in medicine, education, and literally every other profession). As I stated in my hometown in Ca, our Sheriff backs the Const., encourages citizens to be armed, never fined or shut down any business, even told the state board they must leave when they tried to enforce a fine, and threw BLM supporters in jail when they tried to upset the town. Conservatives support law and order and have an appreciation for those who choose to serve. Most of the issues we have with cops is a problem with training and lack of understanding of civil rights. We need to have police and we need an over haul in how they are trained. There should probably be more civilian over sight as well.
