Sup MISC, been a while.
Should I go to church as a form of meditation/reflection? I like the atmosphere in a church and preferably some top tier classical music as well.
Any church brahs here? Enlighten us almighty.

Went to an evangelical Christian dating group back in 2019. There's no fukking meditation or reflection. It's some former insurance salesman in jeans reading Gospel off a Powerpoint deck with Christian rock every half hour. Very much an entertainment product these days.
The guys-to-sloots ratio was great though. I've thought about going back to one in California, but kind of hesitate to cause a lot of those lifetime fundies were able to sniff me out as a fake.FA Crew

Church experience is largely dictated by the pastor. Find a church with a good pastor and it’s definitely worth an hour or two of your week.

Just don't go to a liberal one
Church itself is probably not a negative thing even if you do not believe
And if you go to other events with the Church you probably will meet a better class of people morally
Even if you do not believe**Black out tape over all laptop/cell phone cameras so gov cant spy on me fapping crew**

First things first OP. Here's the bible way to heaven.

Then yes. Find a bible believing church and receive blessings from the Lord. You have absolutely nothing to lose.
Me and my family were going to a church but it has not been a good fit for us. The Pastor is kind of suspect so we're trying a different one this Sunday. Good luck bro.
Someone who isnt afraid of preaching the whole counsel of God. It'll be extremely rare to find and you have to look. The guy in the YouTube link above is absolutely based but hes in Arizona.Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Well Christianity is based on the bible, right? The catholic religion does not follow what the bible says and it's doctrines. Christian churches, the real ones (and there are few), use the bible as their final authority. They may not be as fancy as catholic churches but God doesn't care about money or gold or precious stones. He cares about YOU and what's best for you.
God says not to have idols, Catholics completely ignore this.
God says you are not good enough on your own to make it to heaven and your own works will not save you, no matter how good you think you are. Catholics rely on their own works for salvation.
There are many other things. I've written them in detail in that thread. But forgot about all that, watch the 7 minute vid I posted and see what the bible actually says about salvation. You can seal your place into heaven without ever setting foot in a church. It's a gift.
Good luck.

I'm LDS, church can be great it just depends what you want to achieve by going. If you do go just remember you're there for your own reasons, everyone else is doing their own thing too.
Church can be a great way to socialize and can provide you with a peaceful environment for self reflection.no crew crew

truth.
OP, honestly wanting to meet new people and have an outlet for reflection is a good thing, but open up the Bible first and start with the Gospel of John. As you read it, don't just read it straight through, but speak and pray to God for understanding if something is confusing to you..then pray for The Lord to direct you to the right church, that He put people in your life that guide you. Yes I know this all sounds strange, but I promise you, you'll be amazed at what takes place in your life.

Damn brah, try reading "Stolen Focus".
Rotters are typically ADD AF and I think that's heavily exacerbated by social media and technology... always darting around app to app, coom to coom, hobby to hobby.
It's easier to stick to hobbies when there's accountability involved. Team sports, getting a driven martial arts training partner, dancing partners.See JackedCracker's sig
