I respectfully disagree. Now "jacked" is a word most 40 year olds wouldn't be thinking but its much more impressive for an executive with all the toys to be fit/in shape than not. It certainly gets noticed. If you are saying it isnt the first or second priority then yes I agree.....but its certainly on the radar.

A horrible irony is that guys work hard to be successful and ignore their health, so they end up a rich guy who is fat and gross or too old and broken looking to be attractive in a sports car.
Yesterday I was at the store and this white BMW pulls up, out jumps a skinny guy with tat sleeves and I'm like is that a drug dealer or a trade with his dream car?If you want to ask me a question:

Lift for myself and play in several basketball and football leagues at 35. Also do athletic training twice a week with the college football players.
Do it for my mental sanity because without this, I would likely be in jail.Race: White

This is probably the single biggest reason most people who go to the gym don’t get results (combined with lack of consistency)
Squat, bench, deadlift, OHP, rows. You can probably add pull-ups to that list. That’s where the vast majority of your gains come from.
Too many brahs doing 5 different types of curls and lifting on machines while neglecting the most productive exercises. Sure that works, if you’re blasting a bunch of tren and have great genetics*Deadlifts pants after taking a chit crew*

It's not about impressing others but rather quality of life.
I've been poor in my life and I've been well-off.
I'd much rather be well-off with an average physique than poor with a great physique.
Ideally, you'd want both... great health/physique and be well-off. And I don't mean work 60 hours a week for someone else.

I'll be 36 in a couple months, and I gotta be honest here.. it's been harder to cope with not commanding as much female attention when I walk in the room anymore than I thought it would be.
I at least have a loving wife and 2 children to help me cope.
Though, I think without them, I could have held on to my 8.5/10 look for an extra 5 years.Ol' 71st street. The devil that birthed me.

It's pretty short sighted to give up on aesthetics just because you are older. Being physically fit will only help you in your old age. Why would you want to be a fat out of shape unhealthy couch potato like the majority of the world? Of course you don't need to kill yourself working out 7 days a week but you should work to maintain your health, activity and physical fitness levels.

Look at the real people in the world who hold true power and respect. It isn't washed up fitness instructors and ex bodybuilders. Being fat used to mean power and wealth. In a sense for the elite, it still stands true. Anyone on that level doesn't have time to maintain their 6 pack and dedicate 1+ if lucky every day to the gym.

It's sad, but people honestly do treat people with more sign of "value" better and with respect because they're trying to hopefully get something out of you. I'm the same way with everyone I come across. The bum on the street, the doctor, the governor, all get the exact same treatment and response from me. I don't need to feign kissing someone's feet in the hope that I can piggy back them. Who are you living for? Yourself or simply the approval of strangers?
