"in-workout shake" + post workout shake?
Should an "in workout" shake be followed by a post workout shake, or should you start to eat solid foods?

Bump
I used to just have a pre workout and post workout meal, but now that I'm about to start an "in workout" shake I'm not sure how to go about meals before and after my workout.

Just have a good meal 1hr or 2 before ur workout. Then split ur post-workout shake and have 1/2 in the middle and the remainder after ur workout.

That not a bad idea, but that still dosen't answer my question.
I want to know If I'm already having an "in workout" shake, than is there really a need for a post workout shake, or should I start eating solid food?

There is no need for a post-workout shake. After ur workout just consume ur solid food as soon as u can.

That's what I'm saying. If I'm not mistaken you just told me to split the shake into 2, and have one 1/2 during and 1/2 after, right?

Here are a list of possibilities.
1. U can split ur shake and have half @ the beginning and the remainder post-workout.
2. U can split ur shake and have half in the middle and the remainder post-workout.
In either case I would follow-up with a protein/carb meal an hour after the final shake.
Ur other alternative would be
3. U can have ur entire shake @ the beginning of the workout and asap have ur protein/carb meal after ur workout
All 3 will have equal impact. So now hopefully ur question has been answered and u can decide for urself.

i'd prefer eating preworkout, and taking the shake post workout.
whatever floats your boat, really.
it doesn't really matter, so long as you DO take something postworkout at least.
the combinations listed do not have so much of a difference in relation to recovery / strength / mass gains.
