Just LOL at the weepy, entitled soyboys ITT who can't understand that doing nothing doesn't constitute work.
Good luck with your 24/7 Instagram goals when Eddie Woo embeds you with a tracking chip to make sure you're slaving away at his lithium mine in 3rd world America.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

My Email is open right now. I do meetings in my pajama pants and a dress shirt. I answer questions until around 10 pm.
Had a project due on the 23rd, I did it today because I knew another big project was about to drop and it did, so now get to work on that without almost 2 hours of commuting.
I still go to my office on occasion but I'm literally the only one there, it's creepy.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Life is undoubtedly better with a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday off.
Adding to that each Tuesday and every second Friday is WFH.
Schedule all my work tasks and as many meetings as I can for the Monday and Wednesday, usually Thursdays are spent looking busy in front of others.
Today is Tuesday. I watched both NBA games live. Cooked a nice lunch. Done a load of washing. And spent maybe 45 minutes of actual work.
And every Tuesday/Friday at home are like this.
I'm moving further away from the office next year and I'm going to try and get my way into 4 days from home and only one in the office. Will be beauriful.

There was some creepy chit going back into the office after covid.
The tape dispensers did not work, completely dried out, I don't spend a lot of time taping chit but it was weird.
Lady I talked with 6 months ago did not recognize me, had a whole other conversation that was exactly the same as the last time.
On the plus side our IT guy is the shizzle, I plugged in and could print like a pandemic never happened. 2 years after connecting to a printer.Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

Couldn't disagree more. In Europe, it's common for people to take the whole summer off. And those that HAVE to work in service, for example, work a couple hours a day at open and close and take afternoon naps in Spain. Full-time week in New Zealand is 32 hours.
There's no difference in the output of work I do, in fact, I accomplish more work without Karen barking in my ear.
The only difference is I don't have a commute and hours of doing nothing in a cubicle.
Thinking workers have to be in a seat where you can babysit them is a boomer mentality.
Anyone running a business should know what needs done and the time to complete that process. Hire someone to do it, and fire them if they can't. If they have time left over then they aren't making good use of their time and should look for a job where they accomplish more with more pay. If anything, since I have time left over, I should be looking for a more challenging and time consuming job with more pay.Last edited by _zman; 05-10-2022 at 08:26 AM.
