Just read the LV Imagination talk.


It’s outstanding. Smells amazing. Hands down one of the best fresh scents. It’s just ****ing expensive at $320. And LV doesn’t do sales. The performance is mid, 5-7hrs probably but it lasted all day a few times mainly on cotton shirts.

The LV stuff is way way overpriced (no surprise) and most of them do not perform well enough to warrant said price.

Smelled some in a boutique and was not impressed at all. Very linear scents.

Closest boutique to SSM is Charleston. That’s where I first smelled it.

They will give you samples as well. I have several from that store and the one in Vegas (or rather the tons of them in Vegas)

This is definitely not like anything I own and I really don’t know if I like it. It’s like ASAD (or SE) with some Iris and a tropical suntan lotion vibe. Comes off more feminine than I like. This may be $45 wasted.

Citrus scents are outstanding especially if blended well. Stuff like Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme and Terre d’ Hermes Eau Givree are really good citrus, woody scents. For straight lemon scents Charles turned onto Profumum Roma Acqua Viva which is expensive although outstanding. Lemon Line from Mancera is a good cheaper lemon scent. Bvlgari Tygar is a beautiful scent and citrus heavy but it’s expensive and rarely goes on sale.

Man, Grand Soir is not what I expected it to be, hoping this gets better on an extended dry down. Harsh, smells like a spicy bomb almost right away, hoping for more of that Vanilla. Has this weird synthetic harshness to it. Still undecided, but hoping this lives up to the hype and transforms.

Any good gourmand fragrances other than stuff from Killian? Jazz Club is a winner for me, on dry down that stuff really opens up incredibly.

Hopefully Baccarat Rouge 540 and Oud Satin Mood live up to the hype.
