The current study found that daily supplementation with tongkat ali root extract (200 mg/day) improves stress hormone profile (lower cortisol; higher testosterone) and certain mood state parameters (lower tension, anger, and confusion). These findings are in agreement with several recent supplementation trials in humans, suggesting that tongkat ali may be an effective approach to shielding the body from the detrimental effects of chronic stress from daily stressors, dieting for weight loss, sleep deprivation, and intense exercise training.
In two recent studies of young men undergoing a weight-training regimen [43,44] tongkat ali supplementation (100 mg/day) improved lean body mass, 1-RM strength, and arm circumference to a significantly greater degree compared to a placebo group.
In a recent 12-week trial [46] of Eurycoma longifolia supplementation (300 mg/day), men (30–55 years of age) showed significant improved compared to placebo in the Physical Functioning domain of the SF-36 quality of life survey. In addition, sexual libido was increased by 11% (week 6) and 14% (week 12) and abdominal fat mass was significantly reduced in subjects with BMI > 25 kg/m2.
In men with low testosterone levels (average age 51 years), one month of daily supplementation with tongkat ali extract (200 mg/day) resulted in a significant improvement in serum testosterone levels and quality-of-life parameters [41], suggesting a role for tongkat ali as an “adaptogen” against aging-related stress. Another study of healthy adult males (average age 25 years), 100 mg/day of tongkat ali extract added to an intensive strength training program (every other day for 8 weeks) resulted in significant improvements in fat-free mass, fat mass, maximal strength (1-RM) and arm circumference compared to a placebo group [43]. These results indicate that tongkat ali extract is able to enhance muscle mass and strength gains, while accelerating fat loss, in healthy exercisers, and thus, may be considered a natural ergogenic aid for athletes and dieters alike.

When herbs like this have been around in the supplement world for decades (literally, I remember the first one like almost 20 years ago now called MuscleJack I think), you have to wonder why, if it's so good, do people stop taking it and it just comes back around cyclically?
Why aren't people buying it consistently like testosterone (something we can all agree works)?
Does anyone have to ask if testosterone works?
No.
If it's not:
1. Multivitamin
2. Specific vitamin or nutrient like zinc, vitamin d, etc. that you've determined that you need
3. Fish oil
4. Protein powder or bar (which isn't even a supplement, it's just food)
5. Creatine
Don't waste your time and money.
And yes, like someone else already stated, it's like turkesterone. I can remember when that stuff was being pushed back fifteen years ago too. If it's so great, where has it been?
They've been waiting for a new generation of lifters who haven't already experienced the meh'ness of all these supplements that don't work.
Sauce: I was a GNC store manager for many years when I was younger and I met thousands of people who wasted thousands of dollars on crap.

It was nice in the beginning but then it's positive side effects wore off and I was getting shet sleep like 2 hours a night. Wondering what the hell was going on I looked up the side effects and one of them is insomnia. Stopped taking it and sleep went back to normal. Threw half my first bottle in the trash.

I generally put a lot of weight into what Huberman has to say, but I would like to see those studies.
How exactly did they quantify :

There are some many variables for libido and it’s so hard to put hard numbers on it that I’d be interested to see that methodology.
Same with the testosterone claims. Are they taking people who haven’t trained and introducing that aspect at the same time as the supplement? Lifting can both raise and lower hormone levels depending on the timing of the test, so there’s a lot more to dive into with regards to the study. Finally, if you have low T this isn’t gonna to help much. For example say your free T comes in at 10. If they tell you it’ll raise your free T by 20% you might think “man that sounds awesome”…but then when you end up with a free T of 12 you’ll realize that not much has changed.
I’ve heard enough about it from a lot of people so I think there may be something to it, but I also think it is probably greatly exaggerated.+positive crew+

-support local farms crew
-try to do at least one good deed/day crew
-less cursing the darkness and more lighting candles crew

won't give you any real additional gains in the gym
MIGHT make you a litle more horny/feel a little better
oh and get ready for any existing products to price jump due to the recent hype train on it. Making it relaly not worth it unless you have drastically low T and you're tryign every possible natty solution
