Rules: No Fight Club or Matrix
There Will Be Blood
The actual dual between Daniel Day and Paul Dano is unreal. Being a 3 hour movie and having it feel like it’s 1.5 hours just shows how well done it was.
PCU (Politically Correct University)
Underrated comedy from the 90’s (ahead of its time) about a dorky kid that goes to college and gets shown around the campus by a frat leader (Jeremy Piven) and his crew. It’s amazing how well this movie has held up. It shows how ridiculous the vegans are, the preppies, gays etc. Worth a watch if you can find it. It’s got David Spade it in as well.

Planes Trains and Automobiles---I watch this every Thanksgiving. Very funny, heartfelt and flies by every time.
Elf---See above.
LOTR---An enjoyable, exciting adventure.
Return of the Living Dead---My favorite horror film. Another one that flies by. A great zombie movie with some hot boobs.

In my opinion, I can't understand why anyone who doesn't like Tarantino would dislike this.
Its the most "Tarantinoesque" movie Tarantino has made. He indulges in his own sensibilities and its so much fun to watch. This is his Rio Bravo, the ultimate "hangout" movie. And if you don't like hanging out with Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth, I don't know what to tell ya.
Also, I have a personal connection to this movie in that it reminds me of the time I've spent in LA. My friend and I used to go to LA and watch movies all day, drive around the Hollywood Hills, go on studio tours and revel in the atmosphere there...We even snuck onto the location shoot for The Muppets (2011) and worked as extras. So when I see Sharon Tate watch her movie or Cliff driving around LA and Rick hanging on set, it reminds me to a degree of the fun I had while in LA.
And ultimately the people who really love this movie are hardcore movie buffs with an interest and love for Hollywood history. And if you're not one of those people then this movie probably isn't for you. (Nor is the Rick Dalton biography that Tarantino is releasing eventually...lol)OLD MOVIE CREW

Jaws (my all-time favorite movie, just so well done)
Airplane (just fun to watch, especially with those who have never seen it)
Stand By Me (great coming-of-age film)
The Shining (creepiest movie of all time)
The Terminator (ultimate it-keeps-coming film)
All these films were introduced to me by my grandfather. We used to love to watch movies together.
