Wife works in ER, got exposed to a huge family, all with covid. Ages ranging from babies to old folks. She said it was sad.
Anyways, she started getting body aches today while working, got tested, came back positive. Me and my 4 year old son had to go get tested. Came back negative but gotta go back for retests on day 3 or if we start feeling symptoms.
You already know she's double vaxxed, mandatory to keep her job. Wasn't gonna let my lady do it alone, so I obviously joined her. Not really looking to debate whether it was a good idea to get the jab. I got mine for my reasons. You did or not did get yours for your reason(s) and I respect that.
We knew it wouldn't prevent infection, we knew it was inevitable cause chit, she's in direct contact with the infected almost every day.
So yeah, former covid brahs. Vaxxed and unvaxxed. What were your symptoms? And how long did they last? What did you do? What kind of food you eat? I been hearing OJ is popular.
She has to wait 5 days to get retested before going back to work. I gotta do the same.
Fkin, my poor kid brahs. They used that long stick test in the nostril. I cried hearing him scream in pain while I held him down. I felt so powerless. Dang kid gave me the biggest hug after and asked if he's strong like me. Just something about seeing my baby boy cry like that. Still has me in tears. Feel helpless brahs. I just want to make them feel better.
Just looking for some guidance and positivity honestly. My wife and son are my everythings.

Symptoms lasted a little over a week
Started on a Sunday night after I golfed. Lower back was absolutely on fire and I had terrible chills. Both passed by the next morning. Biggest symptom was extreme exhaustion. Didn’t have much of a cough, no fever. Lost smell and taste but they both came back within a few weeks.
I drank water and Gatorade, ate whatever I could door dash. Crushed a few baconators that week. Unless your family is in terrible health I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

Btw why did your son have to get tested?
As for when I had covid in December 2021 the loss of appetite and smell lasted 2 weeks. Had chills for 3-5 days. Never had a cough or fever. I was antibody and antigen positive thanks to my family member having surplus test kits from work. That's what we do in this ****, brah.

Nothing you can do. Just treat the symptoms as they come up. Chicken soup, OTC pain relievers, decongestants. Natural therapeutics like ginger tea and honey.

Your wife works in the ER, but she didn’t realize that getting tested without signs and symptoms are ridiculous? This is what I don’t get about the medical community. This isn’t a medically scientific approach for viral infections.
Regardless, unless you’re testing for the specific strain, you can’t know exactly what to do. If it’s omicron, you do nothing. It appears as though it doesn’t respond to the previously known treatments. If it’s delta, it would be recommended for her to get the antibody treatment if signs and symptoms are severe.
Otherwise, if she is young and healthy, she just needs rest and hydrateOne party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.

You will all be fine OP. More than likely is Omnicron which I know several people who have gotten it older family included and have done just fine getting over it. Symptoms were: Sore throat (main one), fever/chills, aches, and head ache for few days.
Some developed a cough but went away after a day or two. If you're not doing so yet suggest to take some Vitamin D and Zinc.
Also, some guy up there suggested to not get your kids tested. I agree, no point in making them go through the pain, just assume they have it and will be fine.

Exposed 12/25, unvaxxed
12/27 sore throat
12/28 fever up to 102.x
12/29 light fever, chills all day
12/30 no fever but sore throat and chills
12/31 fatigue and cough
1/1 fatigue and productive cough
1/2 productive cough
1/3 no more symptoms aside from residual cough, otherwise 100% back to normal
Took a bunch of vits like C, D3, zinc, quercetin, etc. Pretty sure they did absolutely nothing for me unless you take all that chit daily leading up to exposure it's not going to help.
Edit: my two year old got it too and had a fever for two days that peaked at 102, a quick lukewarm bath knocked that out and she was fine the next day.Last edited by Peacening; 01-07-2022 at 11:58 PM.

Let me get this straight, you all get jabbed with a useless vaccine to continue working jobs where you have a high risk of catching covid and now you’re looking for consolation after catching covid?
Idk what to say brah……this is all a result of your choices.
For what it’s worth, you will be fine…I just caught it again after catching delta in the Summer and I’m basically back to 100% after three days - didn’t even lose taste/smell this time around.

Unvaxxxed and caught original COVID in late 2019. I usually get sick a couple of times a year. With covid I was in bed for 4 or 5 days and had a lingering cough for 3 months. The cough was probably something else though, since I hate hospitals and didn't get tested or treated.
Even with the original cuckvid that was way worse than the current variants it was like a bad cold. Really nothing to worry about unless your health is ****ed.

Pureblood
Started on Sunday for me
2-3 days of backaches of peace and fever of around 100
Now the occasional cough
Pretty bad cold
No idea why you tested your kid. There's nothing to do with that information and the PCR tests aren't even legit
As I've said in other threads, homiecron is the second most communicable virus ever after measles, so everyone is gonna lose a week of their lives no matter what
