NYPOST: Miserable ‘Matrix Resurrections’ is the worst sequel so far

Mind blown how many ppl dislike Reloaded. It has a number of flaws but we got to see Zion (though i did find it to be disappointing tbh), we got a look at the backend of the matrix and how things really work, the One being an implanted concept and a predesigned anomaly is a great direction, and the action was off the fukkin chain. The burly brawl, the chase scene, the merovingian fight, etc. hnnng

Also it had one of the GOAT most epic trailers of all time. I was so pumped up to see the movie, I couldnt fukkin wait

I liked that one the best. The ghost assassin mofos are genuinely terrifying.

The original script idea made more sense. Humans were being used for their brains processing power, not energy. But that concept was deemed to difficult for a mass audience. Just like when in Terminator 2 they cut a scene where they remove a chip from Arnies brain and set it from read only to read/write and that is how he starts to learn.

Another concept that was too early for mass audience in the original Matrix is the character Switch was supposed to be Trans. They would be Male/Female irl and when entering the Matrix they would 'switch' genders.

Reloaded was not a bad movie, it's just that the first one was that much better. Really hard to follow up.

Third movie was bad, and I won't even bother with this one.

Reloaded was different from first I say, rather than necessarily worse. Will agree though that the first one had the most well structured story and pacing and did a tremendous job of introducing the concept. I agree 100% that Revolutions sucked. I think people would like Reloaded more now if Revolutions was better. It dragged the sequels down.

Even the positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes aren't really positive. They all say "good nostalgia and fun" but that's it. Only a few are obviously sucking on the directors' teat.

I don't really trust reviews let alone ones from Rotten Tomatoes. I'll go in with no expectations and likely leave entertained. I thought Revolutions wasn't very good, but left entertained and I think it's going to exceed that film, which is good enough for me.

As a lot of our favorite actors age, we likely don't have many chances for nostalgia left. I'm just happy they made the film.

I gave it a look. If you're really curious, then turn it on and see for yourself. But I would avoid if I could. If you're not into the film by the 1-hour mark, shut that thing down and don't waste another 90 minutes of your time (the movie doesn't improve from there)

Not a fan of the 2nd and 3rd matrix movies, but the "humans as batteries" was a last minute edit to simplify things for the audience. Originally, humans were being grown as living CPUs. In essence, a giant parallel processing computer, only with countless human brains in place of the CPUs. It makes much more sense.

I don't how or when Reloaded started to fall out of favor. That film got good reviews at the time, and the film drew big at the box-office (at the time, I think Reloaded was the highest grossing R-rated film ever?).
