Which is why, yet again, you show how much of an ignoramus you are.
Influenza is in the viral family orthomyxoviridae. COVID-19 is in the coronaviridae family. There are huge ramifications regarding mechanism of infection and immune response.

TOO EARLY?
But Dr Clive Dix, former Chair of the UK Vaccine Taskforce, said it was important not to overinterpret the data.
The conclusions made are based on making assumptions about Omicron where we still don't have sufficient data," Dr Dix said. "For example, we have no data on the cellular immune response which is now probably driving effectiveness of vaccines."
"This is a crucial missing assumption in the modelling."
Some of the conclusions are different to the data emerging from South Africa, where vaccines are holding up well against severe disease and death at present, he said.
"There is a huge amount of uncertainty in these modelled estimates and we can only be confident about the impact of boosters against Omicron when we have another month of real-world data on hospitalisation ICU numbers and deaths," he said.Black with a Small Hat

this lol.
if anything, according to their logic, South Africa's numbers shouldn't be good because they are something like 25% vaccinated. If South Africa was getting absolutely destroyed, you and I know they would say it's because they are unvaccinated and there would be zero mention of natural immunity anywhere. They are just making chit up at this point. And even so, America should have a large degree of natural immunity from the number of infections they have, plus with more than half of their population being vaccinated with a whole bunch of people being booster'd up.
but now apparently previous covid infection and natural immunity doesn't work.

Yeah, probably because Republicans are more likely to be old and/or live in a rural area with less access to healthcare.
South Africa may be doing better than the US because they have a lower rate of vaccination. It could be a lot worse here so you better go get another shot.
I don't know if this beats "jabs + infection = super immunity!", but it's up there.
Right, one of the main noted differences for Omicron was that it does NOT cause loss of taste and smell the way that prior variants did.INTP Crew

Lefties take note. I'm relatively sure dab has got the vax (correct me if I'm wrong), and he's been relatively even keel with regards to the pandemic. This is 70% of America right here, and getting tired of lies, the misleading, and obfuscation of data to serve a predetermined agenda. America is going to slowly wake up from this crap, the hubris will eventually swing back and bite everyone on the wrong side of this hard. Biden's mandates and "stark warning" is being met with more and more skepticism, even in real life from vaxcels I know.

The Booster offers WAY better immunity than "Natural Immunity" from a Previous Covid Infection, Conservatives get REKT again.
The protection afforded by past infection against reinfection with Omicron may be as low as 19%, Imperial College (ICL) said in a statement
this translates into vaccine effectiveness of between 0% and 20% after two doses, and between 55% and 80% after a booster dose.White 18-24 year old fit virgins with no tattoos and no debt=GOAT Women.

This. It’s mind numbing how low IQ they are. It’s not even that they’re liberals, it’s that they’re liberals BECAUSE they’re that dumb. I’m not even a republican, so it’s not that it’s political with me as much as it’s obvious how illogical these people have become. Women even more so, they’re the most naive animal on the planet. Mix that with propaganda, fear and lies and we have what’s labeled a liberal now.
Jfl at taking anything a liberal woman says srsly. The worst mistake this country ever made was letting these halfwits vote. There are some smart women out there but they’re never liberal, both can never be true. This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.

I argued this same point recently, and it's been a general theme in my arguments for vaccination. The "pureblood" position failed to account for significant sampling bias in the natural infection groups, as a previous post of mine demonstrates:
There may be some significant sampling bias in these studies too. One of the arguments for vaccination was the huge degree of volatility in the immune response which occurs with natural infection. That should be taken into account here.
Which means, in the Covid-positive cohort, they will be using PCR-tested positive individuals which is far from 100% of cases and this will introduce a bias towards the more symptomatic and severe cases. Whereas the vaccinated cohort will be near 100% of vaccinated people since it is all documented and kept in a central database. So, there is a discrepancy in the samples between the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.
The reason why this matters is because the degree of immune response is roughly proportionate to the severity of the infection, borne out by multiple studies: https://www-nature-com.ezproxy.newca...591-020-0965-6. An asymptomatic infection will generate a far less robust response than a severe infection, but vaccination produces an antibody titre on par with the worst of infections.
So there is comparison between the unvaccinated and infected which has a significant bias in it, and the vaccinated, who develop a constant and homogeneous antibody titre.
My takeaway is regardless, still get vaccinated. Deliberately avoiding vaccination and waiting for a natural infection is still a very bad idea.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.
