For everyone saying "but insurance", this article was delayed in the NYT showing that the businesses impact do not always have insurance...

Walgreens and target self insure for most crime insurance.
Most small business insurance is around $1,000 per year. If they own the building, it may be $3,000; if there is financing on the property then the owner has insurance but the tenant might not.
Honestly, there's no excuse for a business to not have insurance. It's really cheap unless you're a high risk business like roofing etc. Workers compensation is usually the most expensive policy, property and liability are relatively cheap. Auto can be expensive.Life is easy when you take personal responsibility

Lmao evil scum
Will literally allow crime to run rampant when he thinks it's politically beneficial
Then after he gets recalled "good work officers, criminals must be stopped!"
This guy is an actual communist whose parents are in prison for domestic terrorism, what did the bay area expect when he took over?

San Francisco Apple store hit by daytime smash-and-grab robbery
A San Francisco Apple store was targeted on Wednesday in a smash-and-grab robbery that took place in broad daylight, resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars of merchandise.
Police said the "brazen daytime burglary" took place in front of employees and customers after four male suspects, appearing to be black males between the ages of 14 and 18, entered the Santa Rosa Apple store, according to police.
The suspects, who had been wearing black and gray sweatshirts and jeans, along with face masks, left the store with over $20,000 in merchandise before fleeing in a vehicle, police added.
The Santa Rosa Police Department released surveillance images of the suspects in action and is asking the public for any information about the theft. People are encouraged to call SRPD Property Crime Investigations at 707-543-3575. Nothing to see here, just another group of choir boys, this time traveling in packs.
Los Angeles-area looters target Home Depot, Bottega Veneta stores on Black Friday: reports
Officials in California sent word earlier this week that they planned to crack down on "smash and grab" robberies and flash-mob-style looting after numerous recent incidents up and down the state.
But apparently not everybody got the message.
At least two such incidents occurred in Los Angeles County on Black Friday, according to reports.
In Lakewood, a group of suspects ages 15 to 20 stormed a Home Depot store around 8:30 p.m. and grabbed tools such as crowbars, mallets and sledgehammers before getting away in vehicles that were waiting outside, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported.
One entire section of hammers was completely cleared out, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies told the station.
As many as 10 vehicles pulled up outside the store and the thieves donned ski masks before launching their spree, KCBS-TV of Los Angeles reported.
The theft prompted fears that the stolen tools would be used to commit more robberies at other stores in the area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told the station.
The Lakewood incident remained under investigation, FOX 11 reported."At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child - miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied,
demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats."

I'm doing pretty well, problem doesn't really affect me.
But a lot of people can't buy so they're pretty much forced to pay rent somewhere, and make landlords richer simply because they're already rich, zero work, zero contribution to society.
I'm pointing out realities of our economic system, I don't know why people get so offended. No war but class war

So what would you suggest? Just give people free places to live? Who is going to build that and pay for that? Why should they get a free ride? Who is going to build and maintain houses for free? Should people go out and do things to help those who have nothing, for nothing? Those people who won't make any efforts for themselves?

Forgot this part, won't go through edit, so a post just for this.
Not in your back yard huh? How selfish are you? Maybe doesn't effect you, but it effects a lot of people in that area. So a few people who contribute nothing but crime, everyone else is going to have to go without, pay higher prices, and you consider that fair?

Right, but there's a lot of people who are educated making $15/hr and can't seem to make the system work for them because their jobs disappeared during covid, or they're strapped with student loans etc.
And that's fine if people don't care, lol okay then don't care, but the sheer magnitude of these people mean they're a huge voting bloc so something needs to change. No war but class war

define "educated" a liberal arts degree is useless AF.
i don't know that many people with a real degree that aren't gainfully employed.
maybe civil engineers have it tough because the market is saturated.
also i'm from Buffalo and $15/ yr was good money before covid.
right now fast food and grocery are paying $17-$19.
but thanks to branden's inflation.....
