I usually get the international unlocked one with the exynos but this year I want the best version too.

I've played with notes since I sell cellphones but don't think I've ever officially owned one as my main phone. But I always wanted one. I remember nearly pulling the trigger on Note 9 but waited for the S10 instead. It always bothered me to buy a note with this year's older tech when I could wait a few months and get the updated S line with new tech. This time I'm getting the note with the top specs at the beginning of the year.

Yearly upgrades feel so incremental now.

I have an S10+. Back in the day I used to upgrade after a year or two, but I went from S7 edge to S10+ which was exciting as 3 years of upgrades actually felt significant. S10+ has really been the best phone I ever had. Battery is still decent but I want more, phone is still smooth. It's only finally starting to show some age in the camera department and screen refresh rate. Plus OS updates will end next year, and I'm really digging the new One UI 4 which will come with the 22 ultra. Basically everything is lining up for the S22 and it feels like it will be the perfect upgrade.

What color are you thinking about? Most of my phones, including my 10+ have been black but I'm legit 'mirin that new shade of red I'm seeing in the teasers. Normally I rock a very protective but bland looking otterbox case but I'm thinking about a red s22 ultra with a clear otterbox case.

Yeah mane 21 ultra is a monster. Yearly upgrades are so incremental now I feel like 3 years per upgrade is perfect. You want your new phone to actually excite you and feel like a hefty upgrade.

- S pen. Could use that chit to make sketches, write notes, use as Bluetooth remote for taking pics, changing music tracks or presentation slides.

- 120hz screen which is such an upgrade in smoothness over the s10.

- Beefy camera setup that for the first time doesn't have a camera bump. It will be flush with the phone.

- Much longer battery life coupled with much faster charging speeds.

-New processor and the partnership with AMD for a powerful new GPU.

I always love Black but I would really like that Dark Green they made called Phantom Green.

You should check out Poeticcases.com they protect just as much as OtterBoxes but with sleeker styling.

I really do not want to upgrade but I use my phone very often(run my business through it) and I really destroy the battery quickly.

Also if it does not have the AMD chips like the international customers will get I definitely will pass.

Although if the Preorder Bundle + Trade-in Deal is too good to pass up + this type of color might just have to get it 😎

my note 10 plus is just fine but changed to a z flip 3 as my main. note is now my navigation/car display basically

never use the s pen anymore (except for maybe a quick shopping list) but i love that it exists, and wish samsung success

S22 ultra won't be 1500. It will be priced around the iphone 13 pro max, which is one hundred more than the Z flip 3. Let's add another hundred just in case.

Now, cool form factor aside the Z flip 3 is basically a regular S21 with worse screen, camera, battery life, charging speed and no Samsung Dex.

The s22 ultra will be MUCH more powerful and densely packed with features and build quality for just a couple hundred more than what you paid for your flip 3.


And I nearly bought the flip 3! But I realized I was essentially paying 500 dollars for my phone to flip. It wouldn't have felt like a real upgrade from my S10+

ive gotten to the point where they're all powerful/fast enough for anything i need.

Bro honestly I've gone through a ton of photo and video samples of the flip 3 while considering it. Cameras are important to me and my 10+ was finally feeling outdated. It felt like the flip took even weaker pics than my 10+. And video was choppy. Especially in low light.

Yeah gonna have to agree with you. I went from upgrading every year, to every two years and now it takes 3 years to feel like you're making a good jump in tech. The S22 will be my first phone with 120hz screen, space zoom and an S pen. Things to be excited for finally.

a fine choice good sir. The upper end note devices are always over specd and will outlast most other phones. For example I got my brother a note 9 plus 5g. Probably almost 3 years old, 12gb ram, 512gb storage, 5g, 4k amoled, 40w charging. Plus heaps other features like spen, laser focus etc. That is insanely hard to beat even today. I paid like 450usd for refurbished as new.

For me the only thing that could "possibly" beat the note is a foldable next year that doesn't have any shortcomings or can even store the S pen. My only problem with the Flip 3 was the lack of so many high end features as well as that near useless cover screen.

I'm slightly nervous that next year we will see a flip 4 with a cover screen that is big and you can do anything on, current gen cameras and a decent battery. It may tempt me.

However, drawing easy sketches is very useful in my line of work and I find photo editing and text selection extremely frustrating to do by hand. Just today it took me like 20 mins to edit a photo just right that I'm sure I could have done in 1/4 the time with a pen.

I've always felt that way but somehow never got one because the psychological effect of "wait just a few months and the new gen S line is out" always got to me. And I've seen and played with all the notes and regretted not having one. Gawd damn, only 2 more months....I'm so impatient already.

Lol @ getting 1k phones that batteries will die within a year. I'll stick to getting the previous gen phones from companies like OnePlus and enjoying everything you guys enjoy at a reasonable price.

Had a note long time ago but didn't use the pen at all and dust gets clogged in the hole. The s22 looks sleek AF but nothing really new that would warrant upgrading.
