And you do know that a subsonic 300blk has more energy at 100 yards than 45 ACP does at the muzzle. Right?
220g 300blk has like 500ft lbs of energy at the muzzle.
45ACP has 350 ft lbs.
The 300blk is still moving like 150 FPS + faster at the muzzle and the bullet design is far more ballistically efficient obviously.

Okay, so let's call it 500ft lbs of energy. That's basically what a .40 S&W has at the barrel with the 155g HST rounds I carry. It's also 700lbs less than basic M193 rounds.
I know everything has an application. But I always wonder if the subsonic .300 guys realize they are working with basically 60% less power than the traditional AR caliber.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

factory 190 gr hornady 300blk and 180gr .357 hornady are nearly identical at the muzzle
i dont see why anyone would want to hunt with subsonic ammo is the thing. unless theyre doing illegal things.
a guy can use an AR pistol here on the handgun hunts, which i think is BS personally. but theres some handgun cow elk tags i was thinking a 300blk would be pretty legit, with the proper ammo.

The appeal to me is shooting with ears off (suppressed subs). I haven't taken the plunge yet, and hunting isn't my priority for that caliber, but I believe you can ethically hunt with 300 subs. I used to think bowhunting was unethical, but it's not the tool alone that determines ethicality.

Don't intend to get one, but from what I've read it seems worth the money. And if you were going to do some upgrades anyway it does give you a lower starting point.
Want it for home defense, and I'm not reloading HD rounds. Think I would enjoy reloading for hunting, in theory, but I already have a shotshell reloader that I haven't even touched since I got it.☆ MissChill Appreciation Crew ☆ Owner ☆ Σ ☆

Btw, the 300 blk rd still has 420 ft lbs of energy at 200 yds.
The main application is hogging I expect but you're not going to have difficulty taking a deer.
The round's also going to stay together because it's a heavy, slow, slug.Florida Crew as of 3/21

I was gonna get a 43x but it's the same size(grip length with mag) as my 19 so there's no point

PSA:
The Tenicore Zero belt is garbage. It's way too thin. Less comfortable than my $20 eBay tactical belt.
Edges are actually sharp and its extremely uncomfortable if it rises up past your pants belt line anywhere.480s / 370b / 495d / 235 x 2 SOHP

This was just a few weeks ago before the "winter of death" omicron variant came up, so the Nazis may be out in full force now.
Don't take my word for it, there are plenty of videos of people doing it as well. David Harris Jr. is a big personality on IG, he travels weekly and always posts videos, including IG lives, of himself walking around without a mask on. It's not BS at all.Misc Firearms Crew

O yea. I wouldn’t use subsonic for hunting.
The whole appeal to 300blk to me is basically having the most powerful semi-auto subsonic round that you can have.
I busted it out today for those guys that were training on our range and they couldn’t believe how quiet it was. You hear the bolt cycling and the round hitting the dirt is the loudest part. We shot a suppressed 22LR next to it and that was louder.
There’s some good supersonic hunting rounds I believe though. 110g Barnes or something maybe. Not sure.

Looks nice! Hopefully this board will be up long enough to get your range experience with it.
