Kershaw crew. This one to be exact.
Need a new one tbh. I like having one at work, in the truck, and at home. I always forget it or leave it laying around somewhere.

I’ve got some knife training, but just never been a big fan of knives.
It’s probably due to the fact that in all the times I’ve been around firearms, I’ve never seen anyone shoot himself.
But I’ve seen guys cut themselves viciously with their bayonet, or knife on their gear several times.

I bought that SR15 14.5. Hopefully the backorder date is accurate. I can always cancel it if I find one in stock elsewhere. Now all I need is an SR15 11.5 upper and an SR15 lower.
One down, two to go.
I bought an Esse Izula during Black Friday and sliced the **** out of my finger last night. Ironically, I was grabbing it to cut open a new package of medical **** I picked up from NAR lol.
In New Hampshire? I want to do that one eventually due to the gnarly weather.Misc Firearms Crew

The fact that MidwayUSA backorder stayed in stock so long has me thinking a ton of orders are going to get cancelled.
No way they actually have hundreds of uppers coming their way. I saw the link posted to a few websites and a ton of people saying they ordered one.Browns/Indians/Cavs/Buckeyes

pfffft knife talk when I already made a knife thread no one used.
just picked up a Leatherman Skeletool which has thus far proved to be good for common dad-duties with that screw driver on it.
Otherwise got a pile of benchmades, spydercos, etc - today is a paramilitary2 in 20CV

Alright boyos, I need some advice. My brother bought a Dillon press (https://www.dillonprecision.com/rl-5...8_1_23594.html). I wanted to get him a case cleaner for Christmas. There are three kinds, Dry media vibratory, ultrasonic and steel pin rotary tumbler. He just wants to reload for shooting, he doesnt want to spend extra time cleaning for nice and shiny brass. Leaning towards a Dry Media vibratory. What do you guys use?

Might replace our CZ712 with a Remington 870 now that they are back in stock. For a $450 semi-auto, the CZ has been pretty solid. Just doesn't cycle reliably enough to imagine it as a defensive option.

Wet tumbling can take the same time to prep and have ready to reload as dry it just has the extra steps of rinsing and drying. If he doesn't want to deal with the extra steps, just go with a dry vibrator and get him a big bag of corncob media to go with it. Maybe a few loading blocks as well
The 712's are Turkish made. I'd switch to an 870 or a 500 in a heartbeat. Throw some magpul furniture on it to give it some lifeLast edited by OrificeSpunk; 12-14-2021 at 09:11 AM.

I've read that KAC **** is backordered until mid-Jan on numerous sites. Hopefully that's indicative of a big drop coming then. Idk why all these nerds want KAC. You'd think the high price tag would keep a lot of people away lol.
I'll be moving January - February. Date is unknown due to work and whether I'll be able to work remote, but our lease has already been signed and begins early January.
I'm not a big knife guy and see them much more as a tool than a weapon. If it does come down to it and you need to stab someone, you're already in hand to hand combat and likely getting their sweat and spit on and in you anyway.
SSG David Bellavia is the only serviceman nominated for the Medal of Honor during the Battle of Fallujah. He was finally awarded it recently and is the only living recipient from the Iraq War. During the actions for which he received it, he engaged in hand to hand combat with an insurgent and ended up severing the suprascapular artery with his knife after losing control of his weapon. Before killing him, they fought brutally, including the insurgent biting Bellavia's thumb and dick, both breaking the skin. He also gouged out one of the insurgent's eyes with his thumb after it had been bit. Point being, they had both swapped blood, sweat, and spit well before he thrusted his knife into him.
I think a handheld knife is pretty rough in general for self defense, though. Especially if you're untrained. A bayonet on the end of your rifle, now that is much better. I'm even considering getting a bayonet lug on the 14.5 when (if?) I get it.Misc Firearms Crew

Hopefully with student loans being due again stuff becomes more available. Not sure how much of a difference that makes.

Milt Sparks Holster? Looks like a Criterion? I love Milts Holsters, I work a few blocks away from them and have 5 of them with a couple belts.
I work with a guy who up until a few months ago was a full time holster maker there. He took this job to make more money but will eventually go back and make holsters into retirement.
