No, just negative things. Dude is going to cost the tax payers hundreds of thousands in medical bills, prison life, future incarceration costs, and will likely harm others in the future as payback for all the money we'll give him.
Also I'd wager that shooting someone in the face isn't a mental image that this victim is going to love having for the rest of his life.
Only positive here is that the guy was able to defend himself.
