Math is pretty awesome, it's bad teachers who ruin math and make it suck. Many things that really matter are expressed using math and numbers: your bench press and height, for example . One could argue that numbers don't lie and math shows us the truth in pretty much any field (except women's studies, obviously).
Also, check these videos, if you're bored.

You have to study it to a pretty high level to really appreciate it (no elitist, srs), much of what we get taught in school is to build for bigger things. I did 3 years of engineering maths in mech eng and that wasn't enough to really get into on the subject properly. The field is vast and the purest study of anything there is. It is the best language and tool(s) we have to describe the fundamental things in the world or the universe.
I remember being in a lecture on genome alignment and then getting into my car, sticking a location into my satnav and then realising the same maths was what underpinned both. Maybe you have to be a certain kind of person to think this is pretty nice.If you can't handle me when I'm incel, you don't deserve me when I'm chad

Watt’s Law: P equals power in Watts, V equals voltage, I equals current measured in amps
Ohm’s Law, V equals voltage, I equals current measured in amps, R equals resistance measured in ohms

I legit graduated HS without knowing Algebra.
**** got real after HS and I had to learn it or else I'ma be working a **** job for the rest of my life.
Took some classes, really enjoyed it. It's pretty fun. Its like puzzle solving and when you figure out a hard problem, it gives you a rush, T levels go through the roof.
Not for everyone tho. I hate people who code. I try to learn programming and I just can't. Same with writing/English/drawing....**** that

08-10-2021, 02:50 PM #25The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

i always loved math, especially geometry/complex equations etc but was never good enough. would probably become an engineer if I was better at it

lol at that article posted above....savage.
OP when you get past grade school math, it really does become interesting. As a rule of thumb, the less practical the math in question is, the more interesting it is. When you study math, you are literally studying truth. There is a beauty and elegance to the subject that is not found in other subjects. Some of the most elegant proofs are also among the oldest- see for example the proof of the irrationality of the square root of 2, or of the infinitude of primes.∫∫ Mathematics crew ∑∑

On a related note, if you live in Oregon then you longer need math or reading proficiency to graduate from high school.
